Turning down an offer

Post by quijotesca1011 » Sun Mar 02, 2014 12:30 am

What is the general protocol for turning down an offer of admission? Does it differ from school to school? Or is it generally best to just send a quick email to the admissions general email address?

Apologies if this has been covered extensively in the past, I didn't see any threads from a quick glance. This blog post seemed useful:

Thanks!

Just send an email to the general admissions address.

I was wondering this too. Do I notify every school I've been accepted to when I make my final decision?

You will be automatically removed when you don't pay the deposit, but I think removing yourself from the applicant pool early is a nice courtesy to the students who may be hoping to get into the school you are eliminating.
