Legends of TLS - most successful cycle 2017
Have you ever wondered which of your future classmates struck gold with their law school applications? Which future law scholars will be swinging big dicks on campus next year because they turned down full tuition schollys from CCN and got into HYS? Who got into Yale because he/she found a cure to cancer or saved 20 babies from a burning building despite being a URM double amputee purple heart recipient? Or perhaps you'd like to identify the next future president/supreme court justice so you can snuggle up next to him/her while blacked out during law school orientation week. This is the forum for you.
In all seriousness though, it'd be cool to have a place to compile info on the most successful TLS applicants of the 2017 cycle. I think it'd be a great resource if there was one central place to reference the lsn/tls profiles of those with legendary cycles in order to see what kind of numbers/softs are required for a T-14 sweep.
To be included in the list of TLS legends, users must still be in the running for a perfect cycle (no rejections or waitlists). I've also only listed T14 schools. This years nominees are:

Re: Legends of TLS - most successful cycle 2017
I hate to criticize you, but a list of the applicants who scored 175+ and have 3.9+ really isn't THAT interesting. I mean you have to do something really wrong in your app to not get these schools with these numbers. What would be interesting is a list of applicants who scored <170 and have <3.5 but are admitted to HYS and down with full schollies.

Re: Legends of TLS - most successful cycle 2017
True, but I think having a perfect cycle is still very rare, even with high numbers. I think I can count on one hand the number of applicants I've found over the last few years with perfect cycles. By that definition, I do think they are "special snowflakes"anyriotgirl wrote:yah I want a list of special snowflakes plswhereskyle wrote:I hate to criticize you, but a list of the applicants who scored 175+ and have 3.9+ really isn't THAT interesting. It's also interesting to me seeing those w/ lower numbers (relatively speaking, of course) snagging full schollys over those w/ higher numbers. For example, Taffy877 not receiving the Vanderbilt from NYU while Rehbands or Timetowait did.

Midwest17 is about to sweep the T14 (of the 11 he applied to), along with a Darrow, Hamilton, and (presumptive) Ruby.

His avatar is of the HLS professor Morton Horwitz, so I'm think that's where he got it from.wtrc wrote:Is his name actually Mort, has this been confirmed?t-14orbust wrote:I'm going to go to HLS in the hopes of becoming friends with Mortscoobers wrote:for actual WOW! cycles:
