Oregon Law c/o 2017 Applicants Thread (2013-2014 Cycle)
Haven't seen an Oregon c/o 2017 thread so thought I would toss this up. I love the Pacific Northwest and couldn't keep myself from submitting an app though I am not sure I would attend without major money.
Good luck to fellow applicants!

In at Oregon as of 1/6!
I know Oregon isn't highly ranked and the employment stats aren't ideal, but it'd be a great place to live and practice.
Their tuition is very reasonable. Let's see what kind of money they offer to sweeten the deal.
Good luck to fellow applicants!

I applied to Oregon and Lewis & Clark. I currently live in Oregon and hate the idea of leaving (but would do it to attend a T14). Nothing beats the quality of life in the PNW!
Congrats on your acceptance!

Re: Oregon Law c/o 2017 Applicants Thread (2013-2014 Cycle)
As an alumnus, I'm glad to see this post!
The four years I spent as an undergraduate were the best four years of my life.
Although now I depart to a T14 school and leave Oregon, I'm sure I'll be back in Oregon at some point in my life and spend the rest of my life there.
I'm sure whoever chooses Oregon will have one of the best experiences one can have!
P.S PM me if you have any questions related to living in Eugene or UO in general! Obviously I cannot comment on the law school experience, but I can probably answer other questions.

15k/year scholarship. Not bad, though I fear I may need a bit more to seriously consider attending with their employment stats.... Which is too bad, because I would love to live in Oregon or the PNW in general.

In today! I submitted all my apps 3-4 weeks ago, and U of O is the first school I've heard from. Hooray!

In 3/6 with a $17,500 scholarship. I'm hoping to leverage a 32 K scholarship from L&C to get some more money from Oregon. Anyone here have experience negotiating scholarships with them?

I went in for a visit today. I love that campus and the law school itself. We were also lucky enough to run into Dean Moffit. He is really nice and seems very accessible. Still waiting...

Status date changed yesterday (3/25) and it went completely blank today. The suspense is killing me. I also have a seat deposit due next week, so that adds to the fun and excitement.

I just accepted UO so I am a Duck. Tough choice for me but the school looks like a good fit.

Waitlisted. Small envelope came in the mail. Nothing in the status checker except that the top part said that a decision had been entered.
I'm going to work on a LOCI, but I have a deposit due at Lewis and Clark on Tuesday. Really bummed out because Oregon is my top choice.

I assume you don't want to hear it, but you have a great GPA --- retake for UW, at least.alanjd wrote:clemenza wrote:Sorry to hear that. When did you apply, go complete, etcalanjd wrote:Waitlisted. I'm a gambler but UO and LC have terrible employment scores. I would've loved to move to that part of the country but you are 60% likely to become something other than an attorney after LS at these schools.
Not trying to rain on anyone's parade but please take a hard look before you go. It's unfortunate but the placement is what it is.

How long did it take to get a decision email/letter after the status checker stated that the admissions committee made a decision? Mine changed either this morning or last night.

I think it changed on Thursday and then I got the waitlist letter on Saturday.

In via email today! Does financial aid/scholly info come in the formal acceptance email (the one I got today was more of a "hey, you're in!" email)?alanjd wrote:clemenza wrote:Great, thanks - can't deal with the anticipation!alanjd wrote:clemenza wrote:How long did it take to get a decision email/letter after the status checker stated that the admissions committee made a decision?
