Lewis and Clark c/o 2017
Didn't see a thread for this school yet so I thought I would start one.
Accepted 12/6
Scholly 12/12
It looks like they are offering a lot more in terms of scholarship $ this year. Last year the most was 70,000 this year at least one person was offered 105,000. Not sure if this means the school is on it's way up or just really worried about rankings.

Congrats, Domke! Lewis and Clark is a beautiful law school (their ug was my none-state-school top choice).

Thanks, I'm looking forward to checking it out at their ASD. Though I wish their LST numbers looked as good as their campus.

Re: Lewis and Clark c/o 2017
Yes, congratulations. Unfortunately there is next to nothing in terms of Lewis & Clark activity on these boards. From my searches it appears this a trend at least four years running.
Class of 2013 had 1005 total posts:
http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... =7&t=98972
Class of 2015 had 645:
http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 7&t=167485
Class of 2016 had 387:
http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 7&t=197631
Looks like the increased scholarships are a good idea for a school that seems to be losing favor among applicants.
Does someone have the link for the Class of 2014 thread?

That's exactly why I started a thread. I think the "big law or go home" theme of TLS is doing a disservice to T1 and T2 schools.lateralis wrote:Yes, congratulations. I had a really great visit to LC in September and got to sit in on a class that turned out to be much more interesting than I anticipated. Is anyone planning on attending the accepted students receptions or preview days in March?

Re: Lewis and Clark c/o 2017
I'll almost certainly be at a March reception. LC offered me $32K/year, but I'll be on the GI Bill/YRP so anything over $8K basically goes away. Already in here, UCLA & Georgetown. I'm in a position where I'd like to live in the Pacific Northwest post-graduation. My wife and I are currently in Boise and she has an excellent job already. No matter what law school I attend, I'll be going for almost nothing due to the solid vet's benefits though. Lots of options would be nice!skzen75 wrote:I had a really great visit to LC in September and got to sit in on a class that turned out to be much more interesting than I anticipated. I'm not writing off LC at all. I'm still hoping to nab a couple more T14-types and make my decision in the spring.

Agreed. Thanks for starting this, Domke. I love L&C's programs, especially for environmental law, but I've also been accepted (with similar scholarship offers) at higher-ranked schools and I don't know what to do. Can see myself settling in PNW, also. Will probably try to make it to one of the March ASW.Domke wrote:That's exactly why I started a thread. I was also admitted to Lewis and Clark. I'm not sure about ending up there, but I'm going to an ASW to check it out!

They are smart to offer to pay (partly) for a visit to Portland. It's a beautiful city.

Checking in. Have yet to get a response, any idea of when they will begin notifying the majority of students?

I'd imagine they will start rolling out more decisions here shortly with the ASWs in late March, but that's just a guess on my part.

Checking in. I applied at the end of December and am hoping I'll hear from them soon! I moved to Portland almost three years ago and could not be happier here. The quality of life really can't be beat. If I got serious $$$ from Lewis & Clark I'd consider attending over a T14 just so I could stay in this part of the country.

With your stats, I'd be surprised if you didn't get substantial money.

My stats are very similar to yours (173/3.47) and I was offered 32K a year, so I think you have a pretty good chance of seeing some money from themgma221 wrote:Checking in. Nice, congrats!! I assume you also applied to some of the T14. Any idea where you'll end up?BoyOhBoyle wrote:My stats are very similar to yours (173/3.47) and I was offered 32K a year, so I think you have a pretty good chance of seeing some money from themgma221 wrote:Checking in. Re: Lewis and Clark c/o 2017
Thanks! I actually applied to pretty much the entire T14 (minus Stanford and Yale). I honestly have no idea where I will end up - my #1 choice seems to change almost dailygma221 wrote:Nice, congrats!! I assume you also applied to some of the T14. Received a decision today - not accepted, not waitlisted/denied... I guess they have a secondary review? Strange but ill take it.

I applied here, as I live in PDX and would love to have a career in PDX if possible. TBD.

Is this on your status checker? I don't think there is a secondary review process, i think you are just waiting on their email with the final decision.clemenza wrote:Received a decision today - not accepted, not waitlisted/denied... I guess they have a secondary review? Strange but ill take it.

Re: Lewis and Clark c/o 2017
My status checker has not been updated with a decision. Still has application complete and was last updated in december. I received an email today stating that the review of my app has been complete, but no decision has been made yet and will keep it under consideration. Once they have an idea of how many seats will be available they will let me know. Told me to expect a decision in April or May.Magical Trevor wrote:Is this on your status checker?
