Good luck, everyone! I went to Pitt for undergrad, and it's a great school (and Pittsburgh is awesome)! If I didn't have a full-time job four hours away, Pitt would've been my first choice.

I applied 1/12 under priority decision
Received an e-mail inviting me for an interview 1/15
Had interview 1/21
Email of decision sent 1/22
Status=Accepted
And it still feels surreal
For anyone who is invited for an interview, treat it like any other job interview; be professional, confident, and relax! Assistant Dean McCall and Dean Deasy are really nice. They may be conducting all interviews, though I'm not positive. You don't have to do a whole lot of talking. They ask the usual, tell me about yourself, what strengths do you see yourself bringing to the law school, are you able/have you planned how to finance a legal education, what area of law are you interested in etc. They gave a chance for me to ask questions and that was it. The whole interview lasted about 35-45 mins. They made me feel as relaxed as possible it barely felt that long!

I applied as a safety, and their scholarship offer was steaming dogshit.

Yea...they wouldn't have been my suggestion as a safety choice. You probably should have done some research because they are historically stingy on scholarship offers. They are very friendly to negotiate with though. I was able to double my scholarship package with them.JJ123 wrote:I applied as a safety, and their scholarship offer was steaming dogshit.

I would expect it to take a week or maybe 2 at the latest. I applied in February and was told 8-12 weeks as well. It took a total of 8 days. I would think applications would be much slower to process then than now. Be sure to check your application status online though. Pitt uses snail mail and you may be waiting a week longer than necessary if you do not use the status checker.
