Went here for undergrad, if you have any questions about the area or the school let me know.

Checking in. Complete 12/4, hoping to hear back in the next few weeks. 167, 3.7, anyone know chances of $$? I'd love to stay in Philly if I can!

I have a friend with similar scores (165, 3.6) who lives in PA and she didn't get any $$$... from the reps I talked to at law school fairs they seem to take more interest in the writing portions of the app than most schools (they pride themselves in being one of the top legal writing schools)

Re: Temple c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014)
submitted my application a while ago-- on 12/2 my status was listed as "received" but no change since then. Has anyone else had a similar experience? And any idea on when they start accepting/ how much time is expected to pass between submitting the app and getting a decision?

First status change since first declared complete was yesterday, 12/16 (still says "complete.") I don't think they've sent out any decisions yet though, have they?

I had my 2nd status change back on 11/27. According to last year's thread, they started releasing some decisions before christmas, so I hope we are in that first batch.ZipWhenSheMoves wrote:First status change since first declared complete was yesterday, 12/16 (still says "complete.") Temple doesn't get any status checker updates after "complete"... I'd just stop refreshing! I feel like we'll start hearing soon.

Re: Temple c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014)
I'm surprised at some of the comments here so far, scores of 163+ not receiving scholarships or getting low amounts? That's insane, Temple is still hurting for applicants and having many locals being siphoned by Rutgers, Drexel, and even PSU. I passed on applying to Temple because I'm not a PA resident and didn't think I was likely to get a full scholarship (which Drexel and PSU have already offered). If you're holding a 163+ do yourself a favor and consider the job prospects and debt you're facing. PSU and Rutgers already have similar outlooks and have been much more generous with scholarships.

Re: Temple c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014)
I concur! I submitted applications to both Temple and PSU back in November with a 3.50/161. Still haven't gotten a response from Temple (complete since 12/11) but I'm sure I will have at most a small scholly offer while PSU has offered me full. I'm still interested to see if I get accepted to Temple, but I can't imagine turning down the offer from PSU.mach9zero wrote:I'm surprised at some of the comments here so far, scores of 163+ not receiving scholarships or getting low amounts? Re: Temple c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014)
At this point, few people have heard schollys back from Temple and I looked into years past. 75th percentiles are hovering around $17.3k/yr but I didn't see any full scholarships. It's not uncommon for admissions to increase scholarships as it gets closer to May, and some even already deposited reported an unsolicitied scholarship.goldenboy514 wrote:has anyone gotten any type of temple scholly offers? any does temple offer full rides? if so, what would the numbers needed be?
I'd love Temple simply for the location, campus, and reputation - but I'm already gunned and looking forward to Penn State. That 3.5 hour drive isn't appealing, but if they're pulling out the money to attract higher caliber than I'm hopping on that ranking train.

Re: Temple c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014)
Impossible. I'm in Jersey too, lived in PA for five years, moved back to NJ and still work in Philadelphia... and still not eligible for in-state tuition. You have to prove you have residency in the state for another purpose other than going to school. Renting or buying property doesn't qualify, a part-time job won't get your foot in. The real only way is to show you intend to remain residing in Pennsylvania after graduation, proven with a concrete job offer.goldenboy514 wrote:anyone know how hard it is to get in-state from temple?
