Tulane c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014)
Haven't seen a Tulane thread yet so thought I'd kick things off! Submitted my app tonight and hoping for some generous $. Not sure how I feel about living in New Orleans, but the school seems pretty nice and it's highly regarded overall...especially for a university in the Depp South. I live a few hours away in the Florida panhandle, so I'm as close to Tulane as any other "tier 1" law school (including FSU).
Anyone happen to have an idea of what Tulane's medians will be?

Good luck to you. I'll be applying soon. From the looks of LSN I think their median will probably be a 161.

Anyone hear anything yet? Their email says they won't release any decisions until December but in the past they've sent them out as early as October.

Same. My date changed last week but still says complete. Again, the email they sent out with the status checker says no decisions will be sent out until after December 1.JRO1989 wrote:Haven't heard anything but did finally get an update last week, still just says complete though.

This is very possibly something that has been there all along and I just now noticed it, but my status checker now has text on top that says my application "has been placed into review and is actively being read by members of the Admissions Committee."

FriendCatcher,
My status checker shows the same disclaimer, and it was not there previously.

In via status checker! So I guess that update last week was actually meaningful...
I didn't receive an email, though, just happened to see it. I'm not actually sure whether the letter will be sent by email or postal mail, to be honest. I went complete 11/22.
EDIT: Got the email as soon as I hit "submit" on here.

Re: Tulane c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014)
I'm in as well. Pretty excited about it too.
As far as living in New Orleans goes I love it. I lived there for two years and absolutely loved the people and the city. It was a major draw for applying to Tulane just so we could live there again.
Sure, there is crime and poverty, but there is also the best food, music, people and culture you can find in the US. Plus Tulane is highly regarded in the city, state and region so that's a big draw too.

I think Tulane lets you pick but at LSU I think they do both and you have no choice. LSU also awards you some kind of masters degree at the same time. They're also on the quarter system fyi.Winston1984 wrote:Not sure about LSU, but Tulane teaches both.sublime wrote:I have a question, and am not sure where to post it (sorry) but do Tulane and LSU teach common law, civil law, or some combination thereof? tyia
