When Will I Hear Back? Forum

I was wondering if I applied now would I hear back sooner than someone who applies in october or november? Or does it pretty much on a case by case basis?

Hey there, 1L here. I applied to all 18 (!!!) of my schools in early November. I heard back from some within two weeks but others took until February. I was accepted at 14 and waitlisted at 4. Heard back from Berkeley literally a week before school started which was...stressful. In general, law schools prefer you to apply earlier as opposed to waiting until the last minute and if you're above medians you will be more likely to hear back quickly if you apply early on, but nothing is guaranteed - sadly.
