My humble 2Cents on the University of Washington
UW is a STATE school receiving PUBLIC FUNDING from peoples taxes and is not sharing the wealth. Instead, what UW has chosen to do is show a small piece of the DIRECT and INDIRECT opportunity costs related to attending UW Law School, and then stake a claim that its SooOO cheap to attend that there is no need for tuition assistance. Not a good idea on UW's part, and may be a sign that their falling rankings (for 20 to 28) may only be the beginning of a more dramatic fall to come.
LRAP (or lack thereof), employment stats (the real ones, not the fudgie kind), student indebtedness, career satisfaction...these are the FACTORS they should use to justify tuition and LACK of any substantial scholarship offers...

I am assuming you had a email saying this. Would you mind posting it for the Lola of all of us who did not apply to UW? Or are you just bitter you weren't given a scholarship? I am genuinely curious, sorry if that comes off rude.justathought21 wrote:UW is a STATE school receiving PUBLIC FUNDING from peoples taxes and is not sharing the wealth. Since you've made three threads on this subject in an hour, you sound--whether it's true or not--like a sore loser who's upset that your application wasn't compelling enough to merit funding from UW. Get over it.
