Because schools like to extend fee waivers to people so they can reject them cause somehow that factors into the USNWR rankings.gatorbabe218 wrote:So I received a fee waiver from W&M on the 25th which I thought was weird because unfortunately I'm well below their LSAT scores (149)but I have a 3.72 UG GPA. Anyone have thoughts as to why I got a fee waiver if I'm so below their scores?
Thanks!

This. Having a higher %yield is beneficial to schools for ranking purposes, so they liked to send out mass waivers (particularly late in the cycle like now) so they can get people to apply and get rejected to boost the %yield. It's pretty stupid/sketchy but it's a common practice.wannabelawstudent wrote:Because schools like to extend fee waivers to people so they can reject them cause somehow that factors into the USNWR rankings.gatorbabe218 wrote:So I received a fee waiver from W&M on the 25th which I thought was weird because unfortunately I'm well below their LSAT scores (149)but I have a 3.72 UG GPA.
