Umm over the break. I think I sent it 12/27....got the complete email 1/3. What about you?

I applied toward the end of November and I believe I heard back before the holidays

Last semester of OU UG here. Like wannabe and Consuela, I can answer any questions people might have about Norman. I also have a few friends at the law school, so I will direct them here for LS-related questions.

How were you notified of your acceptance? They don't have a status checker, was it via phone or e-mail?

I received my decision via phone, followed by snail mail. They also sent scholarship information a few weeks after I was accepted. They send apps to the scholarship committee after you are accepted. At least that's what they told me when they called.

Congrats wannabe! I haven't really heard anything about the open house. I'm assuming it will just be a tour with the dean and some student ambassadors.

I knew the UG has therapy dogs during finals, but I didn't know the law school did it too. That's pretty neat. I wonder if they have pandogs?

I have a friend who was waitlisted last year. He ended up getting admitted in May. If you're serious about going there, I would try to stay in touch with them. Make sure they know that you're their top choice and that you'll commit to going there once you're accepted.

RSVP'D for the open house Thursday. Still no packet despite living 5 minutes away from the law school (I should've just asked to pick it up).

Whos going to open house and what do you think is appropriate dress?

It took a few days for me to get my official letter, so I'm sure yours will be here this week. I'll be at the open house. I think I read that dress is business casual.

Admitted students day is 3-8-13 in case no one saw on the facebook page. I think official invites will come out soon.

Thoughts on the open house? 2 highlights for me: Meeting the guy that had no intention of going to OU law but used this as a open house test run, and having our tour guide (who single handedly made the event for me)explain that you can tell how much someone donated by the size and quality of their painting.

I felt weird being one of the few males without a tie but at the same time I've already been accepted so felt no need to impress.

There were plenty of people wearing jeans, so I wouldn't worry about it.I think I'm going to try to go sit in on a class soon.

I did that 2 years ago when I first thought about applying but didn't cause I got a job. I would definitely recommend it. Definitely surprised at the the amount of people tonight.

Not too worried about the dress, I think a lot of people there hadn't been admitted yet and were still hoping to have a positive influence on their application.

Oh Trivia Night.. did your team win? I feel like it was aimed more toward people who haven't applied/haven't gotten in yet anyway. At least that's how I felt compared to my Baylor visit. I think there's another open house on March 3rd, so maybe you can make it to that one!
