Fastest Admission Turn-Arounds?

Post by nba101790 » Wed Jan 16, 2013 5:06 pm

Hey everyone. Forgive me in advance if this is in the wrong place.

What have your fastest turn-arounds (from complete to decision) been?

11 days (LSN in profile if you want to see which schools and when), but that is definitely not the norm. It depends a lot of factors, and can be very troublesome to predict.

P.S. I'm not including Duke's PT apps in this because they tell you exactly how many days you have until your decision.

Thanks everyone. I've gone complete at about 12 schools since submitting on Monday, and would really just like to get in somewhere within a week or two to ease the anxiety. Nice to know that it's at least possible.

IT is highly unlikely you would go from submitted to decision received within 2 weeks for the vast majority of schools... NYU being a significant exception. I submitted 11/29, accepted phone call on 12/12. So two week turn around.

Last year, I applied to UCLA on Saturday night and was accepted Tuesday. I guess that's 1.5 business days.

FIU - went complete on December 5th and saw "decision rendered, letter mailed" the morning of December 7th. I was surprised that it was an acceptance!

Both UCLA and NYU were very fast turnarounds.

If I recall correctly, Texas was under ten business days. Non-binding ED. Full ride offered a week later. :)

So I'm going to go ahead and take the record for completion notification to acceptance.

Hofstra U. - Application received notification 1/17 , Admission via email 1/14
Turnaround = -3 days lol (didn't even have a status checker yet)

I submitted the app via LSAC on 1/8

Not me, and I"m shamelessly updated my own thread, but a good friend got into UCLA with about a 36 hour turn around this week.

I can't speak with certainty but either a 169/170 and straight As, so a 3.9/4.0, alongside really impressive academic/research softs.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
