Should I apply?
I'm trying to decide whether or not I should throw in an app to YLS. I'm way below their medians and I don't think I have much of a chance, but wanted some advice.
167, 3.78, URM (PR), pretty good soft factors, fee waiver (but I don't think that matters).
Any advice would be appreciated.

It could matter. Is it worth it to you to spend $21 to answer "what if?"bfigsan wrote:fee waiver (but I don't think that matters).

That's great. I'm glad you got in.
Eh... they're okay so far. Not expecting too much.

Go to page 24. 3/4 of Puerto Ricans score below 150. A 167 probably places you in the 99th percentile for that sub-group. My guess is that you have a very good shot at Yale. At least good enough to apply.

Go to page 24. A Puerto Rican getting a 167 is like a white guy getting a 181. In other words, apply. Enjoy Yale.
