JS1 but no JS2 yet club

Post by banjo » Sat Dec 22, 2012 9:59 pm

There is precedent for this kind of thread here: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... =7&t=98735

By the end of the cycle, ~350 interview invitees will have been rejected from Harvard -- probably more than any previous cycle. If you've been passed over for several rounds of JS2s, this thread is the place to vent / commiserate / figure out if there's any solution. This will also be a good way for future applicants to see where we -- who came so close -- ultimately end up.

That said, maybe this year's applicants just want to move on with their lives, in which case this thread can just die.

I don't belong here, but I did come across this profile that may be of interest to you:

12/10: JR1 at Harvard
3/07: JR2. Unreal. That was a long wait.

Nice -- first post is a hopeful one! I hope JS will follow JR's example.

Great scholarship btw.

This. However,

also this. For posterity's sake, I suppose I'll post this here:

JS1 invite 10/31
JS1 interview 11/13
Edit: Held 1/18
Edit: Waitlisted 4/5
Eit: Rejected 5/28

In the event that this thread takes off, I'll also post here occasionally and try to remember to update this post with wherever I end up: Cornell.

I'd love for the JS1ers to post where they end up. Likely S or Y or a late H acceptance.

I don't belong here either (JS0) but wish you guys luck. And also would like to recommend downloading/buying the sims, roller coaster tycoon, Pokemon, and/or dirty videos to keep you occupied during the misery of waiting. Better enjoy the free time while we have it!

I look around at the people who can join this thread and it blows my mind how you could still be waiting. A lot of you have been the heart of TLS during this cycle (at least the threads where I look around) and I'm rooting for every one of you. Good luck guys, and keep your chins up - there's still plenty of time for good news.

Hah, there are three Harvard threads on the first page now.

Best of luck guys. I don't go on TLS as much as other people, but I make 1-2 posts every few days and it has been a really helpful resource. Those of you who have been extremely helpful definitely deserve some good stuff coming your way. Lavitz especially has been awesome, and I am crossing my fingers for all of you!

There is still a loooong time left, and you haven't been rejected yet, so don't lose hope!
