Holiday Messages
...are killing me. Every time I see an email from some sort of admissions personnel I feel the blood rising to my face. I'm just now starting to get acceptances, and so opening new emails I'm almost positive it's an acceptance/denial. BUT NO IT'S JUST A "HAPPY HOLIDAYS" message. -___- Cruelty.

Re: Holiday Messages
Most of them say either "Seasons' Greetings" or "Happy Holidays" right on them, so I don't get too annoyed. I appreciate the gesture. But I understand where you're coming from.

Schools don't generally send holiday messages to people they've already rejected, right?

Ouch, did they send one to you? Now that is cruel.DocHawkeye wrote:Schools don't generally send holiday messages to people they've already rejected, right?

Re: Holiday Messages
I don't think I ever got one from a school where I had been rejected. My point is that if they're still sending you stuff, then you're still, at least theoretically, in the running for a seat in the class. They will stop sending you stuff if you've been rejected. Unless they're McGeorge. Then they will keep sending you invitations to apply years after they've rejected you. Years...Presidentjlh wrote:Ouch, did they send one to you? Well that sort of makes me feel better. Now I'm A. Happy I'm not rejected some places and B. Frantically wondering where the rest of my Happy Holiday messages are.DocHawkeye wrote:I don't think I ever got one from a school where I had been rejected. That's really the only logically appropriate behavior.bzzingbee wrote: Well that sort of makes me feel better. Now I'm A. Happy I'm not rejected some places and B. Frantically wondering where the rest of my Happy Holiday messages are.

On the plus side, you don't have to attend McGeorge.DocHawkeye wrote:I don't think I ever got one from a school where I had been rejected. I've only gotten one from a school I didn't apply to. I think my vigorous unsubscribing is starting to pay off

Re: Holiday Messages
I actually got a huge envelope in the mail yesterday from one of the schools and I could see the cover page and It said "WELCOME" I was like, "Yes" It was a freaking solicitation after I applied SOB!
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
