Suffolk Law c/o 2016
Hey everyone out there. Yet to see a Suffolk thread, so I figured I would start one.
Went complete 11/26. Still waiting... Has anyone received a decision yet?

I applied for the part-time program. Went complete on 11/15/2012. Status changer switched to "Congratulations" on 12/14/2012, followed by an acceptance letter by snail mail. Above both medians. No word on schollys.

Would anyone who eas accepted mind sharing their numbers? Gaining some perspective might help my addiction to status checking. Thanks

Re: Suffolk Law c/o 2016
I applied to suffolk, i put that i was interested in their three year jd/mba program, and i forgot to look at the requirements for admission to the mba program. Oh well.. still have not heard back from them, but i already got into northeastern, so it isnt a big deal for me. This year will be an interesting year for suffolk though, because their lsat median has been very erratic over the past couple years.
gpa 3.45 164 lsat
EDIT: i just finished my application to northeastern's mba program when I got the rejection letter in the mail from suffolk law. Looks like I dont have to worry about it after all. Its cool how the two schools that do not require me to take the gmat for the jd/mba are 30 min from my parents house.

I was accepted to Suffolk in early December by snail mail, my status checker didn't update until this week (strange). No scholarship info yet. I just received a holiday card from Dean Nelson in the mail yesterday. Hopefully it's a good sign for a scholarship, Suffolk is by far my #1 for both convenience (I live near the school) and the programs.

If you have seen the school, what are your thoughts? I have not visited.laura0862 wrote:I was accepted to Suffolk in early December by snail mail, my status checker didn't update until this week (strange). No scholarship info yet. It's really nice. They have a great building and you can't beat the location being in downtown Boston. But, I wouldn't base your law school choice on what the facilities are like... take a look at the programs, professors, etc... I'm going for health law and they have a pretty strong program. Also, I work in downtown Boston so the location is ideal.. Feel free to PM with any specific q's.shedl001 wrote:If you have seen the school, what are your thoughts? I learned I was accepted via snail mail in early December (with online status checker updated a week or two later). I too received a holiday card from the dean of admissions. No word yet on scholarships, though it doesn't seem that any other accepted students have heard yet either.

Suffolk was my top choice, but I'm still waiting on another school to see if they offer me any scholarship money. I'm from New England and have heard many positive stories from folks who attended Suffolk Law. Hopefully I'll hear about scholarship money soon!shedl001 wrote:congrats. where does Suffolk rank for you?Monstickers wrote:I learned I was accepted via snail mail in early December (with online status checker updated a week or two later). Anyone else going for the part-time program? That's why I'm so drawn to Suffolk, because I can keep working...

I was accepted December 7th and still no word on scholarships. I am at the 75th percentile for both LSAT and GPA, so I'm hoping for a decent amount of money! Anyone hear about scholarships yet??

No, not a word yet. It doesn't seem like anyone has heard... not sure why they are waiting so long. I had been hoping to hear back in December.

No word on scholarship info yet. The packet did say it would be mailed with the decision? Although I received nothing.

What packet? All I received was a letter of acceptance and a letter of intent to mail back with my decision.shedl001 wrote:No word on scholarship info yet. The packet did say it would be mailed with the decision? Although I received nothing.

Ditto! Just a one page letter. I think I'm going to call tomorrow to see when scholarship information will be sent out.

Re: Suffolk Law c/o 2016
I emailed admissions last night to ask about merit aid, and they said...
"With the advent of the new year, the Scholarship Committee has just begun to meet in order to review, on a rolling basis, admitted students for merit-based awards."
They also said that applicants would be notified by mail.
Hope that helps!
