The flashdrive will come a few weeks after you're admitted.
Have they started advertising a mentoring program where you get paired with a current student? We got an email about it today and I'm curious to see how they describe it to 0Ls.

Jumped the gun. Got the flashdrive today as well. Admitted a couple weeks ago.

Getting a flashdrive that costs like $5.99 to produce when I was hoping for a fat scholarship offer is like getting a kiss on the cheek on a 5th date

At least $7.99 I'm sure... they had to pay to have it engraved!Jake Wyler wrote:Getting a flashdrive that costs like $5.99 to produce when I was hoping for a fat scholarship offer is like getting a kiss on the cheek on a 5th date

And let's not forget that the fancy envelope probably cost at least $.99 when bought in bulk.sonny wrote:At least $7.99 I'm sure... they had to pay to have it engraved!Jake Wyler wrote:Getting a flashdrive that costs like $5.99 to produce when I was hoping for a fat scholarship offer is like getting a kiss on the cheek on a 5th date

To the accepted folks, when did you apply? Seems funny that Illinois would move so much slower than Indiana and ND...

If the pattern they've been doing keeps up they should release some decisions tomorrow right?

Hey everyone, I'm not a UIUC applicant, but I thought this might interest those of you interested in Chicago BigLaw
I'm basically going through the websites of 60 firms in Chicago (both based in and branch offices) that pay six-figure starting salaries and counting how many post-recession associates* there are in each of them from WUSTL, ND, UIUC, and Northwestern.
I'm at the halfway point right now (31 of 60 counted) and here's a screenshot of my results (originally posted in WUSTL thread)
Hope it helps

*For the purposes of this analysis, any associate that got their J.D. in 2008 or after is considered a "post-Recession associate"

Based on your research above, UIUC seems to have decent placement in the Chicago area. I am pleased.

Just looked over my "Why Illinois" essay and found a minute error. You think it matters?

I really think it will be today, they've typically gone 14-16 days between releasing decisions. Today is 16 days from their last one.AMilfordMan wrote:Whose got a good feeling about some decisions today? This guy.

Re: UIUC Class of 2016
Illinois just sent me an email with the dates of their ASW options. The second one, April 19, is the same day as their 1st deposit deadline. Anyone think that's a little weird/prohibitive? I'm want to visit because I'm interested, but I don't expect to be able to make a decision that day!
