Georgetown Group Interview

Post by edamame » Fri Nov 30, 2012 5:59 pm

Just got a group interview invite. What does that mean? And what can I expect?

Stats are GPA: 4+, LSAT: 172+. I have ties to the D.C. area, and the invite specifically mentioned that.

Group interview? That doesn't sound pleasant. I don't have any productive input about this, but personally I wouldn't accept a group interview. You could get some jackass in the group who creates a negative environment for everyone.

I got this too and I already replied that I want to do it. I figure it's personal attention from the Dean and group interviews rarely hurt you (unless, of course, you're the jackass mentioned above). IMO, it's worthwhile to show your interest level in the school, especially if you're borderline.

I've been reading on TLS and it seems the interview typically consists of the group taking on the role of being GULC's adcomm and creating an admin strategy (weight of LSAT/GPA, softs, etc.).

PM me if you want to talk more about it.

I got invited and will be attending as well, I also have ties to the DC area.

Even if it is a group interview I bet there will be opportunities for one on one conversations, and I'm excited to see the school.
