I haven't received an email yet but was initially offered $20,000. I spoke with the Director of Admissions both in person and via email and he told me that we would receive the letters by mail. I asked because our apartment building has small boxes and i wanted to make sure it would be left in the box and not with the office.
From some of our emails:

"We have made a few changes to the John Marshall program, including the way we select recipients. This year we we make offers without requiring a formal application. These offers will go out with our other scholarship notifications—beginning in late January through April. The good news for you and our other accepted students is that we will be making more offers and no application is required."

"Yes, the scholarship letters are sent by U.S. mail. They are in small-sized envelopes."

I'm in the same ordeal, 1/3, I got a letter today from them. I haven't looked at it yet but I imagine its the same.

No they don't have a status checker.

Had breakfast with Dean Rahman this morning while she was in town for some recruiting events. It was a wonderful experience, she was very up front and discussed the school candidly. She also hand delivered my scholarship offer, $25,000/yr with no stips! If you get a chance to meet with her, I'd highly recommend it.

MID MARCH? I'm assuming that's a hint towards a rejection, since everyone who got admitted has received phone calls throughout the cycle.

*Le sigh*
When did you apply? How did you get this response?

They may just be saying that as a line they give to people. I think almost every school says to expect a decision in 6-8 weeks or 8-10 weeks and some people hear back in two weeks.

Applied 1/7. I got this response after I emailed them asking if they have received all application materials or not.

Eh...I applied before you, and I haven't heard anything. Apparently according to some reports some of the adcom has been out of town at events.

Just got an e-mail with my scholarship offer -- $25k/year, this makes UofR an incredibly affordable option for me, and even more attractive given that I already live in RVA.

sidenote: is Law School Transparency not loading for anyone else? When I try to go to the score reports it gives me a messed up page that says "LST 2, Just another WordPress site".

Not loading for me either. Law schools are probably hiring hackers to take it down. Just kidding.

Has Dean Rahman been out of town, then? I emailed her early on Monday and haven't heard back yet!

Just got the scholarship e-mail, $25k a year, the only stipulation seems to be that I make "satisfactory academic progress."

Nope, it just says it's a merit scholarship.

I'm not really sure yet, from what I've seen though I like it a lot. I applied to a lot of schools and I'm still waiting to hear back from most of them so it's kinda hard for me to decide where the schools I've been accepted to really stand without knowing what other schools are still options.

I've gotten a few letters from them, not so much e-mail, but I've gotten more things from them than any other school I applied to.

Thank you, I've received the letters and post cards but not emails and wanted to make sure that I hadn't given them another e-mail, since that's obviously why I haven't received a scholarship email :) I ran through the campus today, it's beyond gorgeous and Dean Rahman is SO sweet

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
