Always send a LOCI if you are waitlisted at a school and actually want to go. If you will attend if accepted, let them know that and it will boost your chances. But only tell one school you will attend if accepted, or else you get screwed if they both admit youjbf wrote:I'm on the WL at WUSTL. Anyone else in same boat? And if so, did you write a LOCI?

Haha too bad wages don't increase 3% every year. The law schools get to live in fantasy land with the tooth fairy.sublime12089 wrote:Xs20 wrote:Probably. 2013-14: $48,345
2014-15: $49,795
2015-16: $51,289
Shit. And yea, I was figuring about 3% yearly, but hoping that for purely aesthetic/perception reasons that they would be reluctant to put that 5 in the ten thousands place. I am sure we could use that $1300 more than WUSTL. But you are probably correct and they likely see it as an inevitability.

I wish more schools would lock our scholarships as a percentage of tuition like UIUC does. Otherwise the relative value of our awards decrease every year since tuition goes up

TIL that cooley law school (proudly endorsed by our very own cusenation) bought the naming rights to a minor league baseball stadium in 2010: http://www.lansinglugnuts.com/PARK/park_info.html
You think WUSTL Law could snag a Cardinals minor league affiliate or something, and get luxury suites for its students? I'm not saying that would make my decision on where to attend, but that would totally make my decision on where to attend.

Re: Eternal, Never Off the First Page, WUSTL is the Best Thread.
Received a scholarship offer earlier today, $75k total ($25k/year).
I've replied with a request to match the offer that I received at another school. There is a lot to like about WUSTL. Still, I think I would need the match in order to seriously consider it. Might be a seat and some money going back into the pool depending on the negotiation reply, but I hope they're able to do it.

Always ask to match. Worst they can do is say no. (That being said, I don't really think they are as 'peer' schools as they seem. Compare lawschooltransparency reports).dstars823 wrote:so i just got a 111k offer from Minnesota im assuming i should email WUSTL and ask them to match?

Withdrawn. Money and a seat back in the pool, hopefully for someone who is really set on WUSTL.abc987 wrote:Received a scholarship offer earlier today, $75k total ($25k/year).

If you're satisfied with your current scholarship/school combination and your undergrad degree is from a no-name school or in a major no one will care about, just do well enough to pass. Your offers won't be rescinded and if you are a Gender Studies major from State U, no one will ever care what your GPA was.shrek wrote:what is the threshold for appropriate amount of slacking off and frowned upon!? the eternal k-JD plight as finals begin
