anybody want to give me a rational reason why WUSTL over Emory all COA being equal?

At this point the only thing that comes into play really are your geographic preferences and which school/city you'd rather spend 3 years at.

One pro in the Emory column is that Emory Law is more hoodie-friendly

I'm more of a quarter-zip type.

Do you think WUSTL new class size (probably around 50 people less than Emory's) is a strong enough reason?

Coincidentally i actually just got off the phone with MAC and she told me that they're still shooting for a 200-person class. But i wouldn't let 50 students determine the school for you...there's no guarantee that the class sizes at either school will be as we expect them to.

And i dunno, i think the relationship between class size and job placement is hard to figure out. In any case, i don't think 50 students is a big enough gap for you to choose WUSTL just based on that. You have to figure that both schools will take transfers so the final class size will be different than when we enter as 1L's

From experience with prospective classmates, the Emory facebook group is nothing compared to WUSTL. Like I am actually looking forward to meeting all of you, becoming friends etc. if I decided to attend. At Emory, not so much.

But a JD is a professional degree and I am torn between WUSTLs community (even just the little one created by all of you over the past few months) and Emory being a better career choice given a few different factors.

lol yeah i dunno what it is about this cycle but the WUSTL kids all seem very active on the interweb...But like you said it's a professional degree and you should make the choice that's best for your career, besides i'm sure the Emory kids will be awesome/fun as well

Emory's first deposit is due Friday. Holding competing offers is going to get expensive in the near future.

Put down my deposit. Got 129k scholarship, but rejected by Emory. I think this may be due to my discipline addendum which was quite long (Emory asks about everything lol).
