I don't see why not, especially if they have given you a deadline.

Dear All,
(Ignore this if you are in the FB group)

The rankings are coming out tomorrow. But while we wait for WUSTL's glorious redemption, consider that tomorrow marks the beginning of March Madness. We're having a mini March Madness pool. There is no buy-in. I am personally subsidizing. The prizes are as follows:

1st. Hoodie of your choice from WUSTL bookstore or affiliated vendor
2nd. T-shirt of your choice from " "
3rd. My most sincere congratulations.

If you're not in the FB group but still want to play, PM me the following predictions:
1. Final Four
2. National Champion
3. Odd/Even score difference for championship game (i.e. winner wins by 4 points, then even difference)
4. Actual point difference

-MOST accurate predictor wins. #4 is primarily for tie-breaker.
-In the event of a true tie (multiple ppl get everything right) then multiple ppl will win the prize.
-If the winners end up defecting to other schools, then the prize will trickle down to next-most accurate predictor

Keep in mind that if you win, you will have to tell me who you are in real life at some point. Unless we set-up some drop-off/pick-up scenario lol

I realize the brackets aren't out until tomorrow...but the bracket is basically set. And you can spend some time mulling over your predictions while we wait for rankings :D

Screw the apparel, I'm gunning for the sincere congratulations. I'd want it in song-and-dance form, in front of everyone at the fist TLS meetup of the semester.

So help me, cuse, if that congratulations isn't sincere...

jk, awesome idea - thanks for organizing it! I'm very excited for it. Don't brackets come out on Sunday, though?

My only regret about WUSTL is the lack of DI sports teams. Rough life.

IT SHALL BE MOST SINCERE!

I mean I know it's selection Sunday but I think ESPN pretty much locks-in the bracket on the 12th. But could be wrong...if so then oh well, just a few more days for us to bask in the glory of rankings redemption while we make our picks.

By the way when will the rankings be posted online? Too much to ask for a 12:01 EST release on 3/12?

The play-in game teams probably won't be decided till Sunday...you know "on the bubble" and all that.

Actually they're traditionally leaked before. Last year they came out at like 9pm the night before or something

True true...but it's unlikely those teams will matter since they probs won't make it to the Final Four anyway. But who know's maybe there will be a Butler 4.0 or something 8)

An odd mixture of .gifs, march madness discussion, and discussing when the USNWR rankings will come out.
