Same. As a SoCal resident all my life... I'm intrigued but frightened at the same time.

I honestly don't know what seasons are... I'm excited 8)

When I visited in January, it looked DEPRESSING from the airplane, everything was so brown like someone had dropped a nuke, but when you get to ground level it's not nearly as stark. It was also surprisingly sunny (I know, I was only there for two days so it's not like I got a representative sample.) It wasn't San Diego, but it also wasn't Boston. I think the weather is not going to be as much of a detriment as I had originally thought, and worst case scenario we can just go to the tanning salon.

I lived in a different part of MO in '08 from around Aug to Jan. the weather changes pretty fast. You still get a fair share of sunny days up its just really really cold. When I was there we didn't get much snow, and I believe the snow comes pretty late in the season for MO

would have helped a couple weeks ago when i schedule my skype interview.

"9am works for me" - me (I'm in PST, so I could be awake by 9)
"Okay, I'll put you down at 9am our time." -WUSTL
"wait.... are you eastern or central?" - me :(
"Central." - WUSTL

I honestly thought when I said 9am, I meant 9am PACIFIC. oh well, that 7am interview was better than 6am....

You know what I like about TLS? People are as anal about uniformity and structure as I am. Now we have a proper first post like all (ok most of) the other schools!

I live about 4 hours straight west of STL and we share much of the same weather. Both cities get strange snow patterns. In 2009 around Christmas both got hammered by 18-24 inches of snow twice in about a weeks time, but since then both cities have had at most two snows of over 4-6 inches and fairly mild winters. Global Warming! Summers the last two years have had around 70-80 days of 100 degrees plus and very little rain. Overall I like it and Spring and Fall are the best seasons of all. No hurricanes but an occasional Tornado threat that typically just ends up raining and storming.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
