I wonder if this includes Stella Artois.
Haha it does! I had two at the reception. 8)
Did they have the new Budweiser Black Crown they were pimping during the Superbowl? I'm kinda curious!

My status is still "complete" but the status date is now 2/5. Is that an update?
Sorry to be a dumb.
Didn't go to the happy hour, but I didn't see any Black Crown flying around at the reception. Free beer never tasted so good after a 9 hour law school visit, though. :)

(Congrats on UT, btw!! :D )

You're good. I was accepted a month ago and mine still says "complete". The date is what matters for WUSTL.
I was curious because Michigan's date updates near daily, and at the top of the WUSTL status checker it says, " Over time, you may notice that the current status date will change even though your current status does not. These changes are not associated with the Committee’s decision."
I stopped checking Michigan cause it changes everyday and I hardly believe my app is interesting enough to be looked at on a daily basis. I don't get how their status checker page works.

Well I also heard they removed the "It is the Admissions Office policy not to post final decisions on the status check page. Decisions will be emailed to each individual applicant" part, which makes sense I guess since they seem to notify people using basically every method available, not just e-mail.

Very interesting. I stopped checking my wash u status checker because I basically didnt see a point. lawschoolstatuscheck still runs their checker for me though

Ahh. Spoke too soon.
From my checker page:
Your application is complete. Over time, you may notice that the current status date will change even though your current status does not. These changes are not associated with the Committee’s decision. it is the Admissions Office policy not to post final decisions on the status check page. Decisions will be emailed to each individual applicant.

Oh what the...they're emailing decisions now? Guess they're trying to get decisions out ASAP as opposed to sending out letters now that it's the tail-end of the cycle.

Weird. That is the part of the header that disappeared for some applicants with yesterday's update. MAKES NO SENSE, Y'ALL!

The decisions were always being e-mailed. By the way the WUSTL status checker is utterly worthless. Stop checking it.

They changed the process this year. Most of us so far had phone interviews and then got official acceptances by mail.

Partly because I don't want XS20 to defect to UIUC and partly because only 8% of WUSTL grads remained in Illinois versus the 45-50% of NU/UIUC grads that stayed in Illinois, I will be adding D.C, Boston, and San Francisco to the WUSTL Associate Headcount.

I won't be counting the ND/NU/UIUC post-recession associates in these additional cities. Only WUSTL associates. This way we'll be able to look at the WUSTL headcount in four major cities (Chicago, Boston, D.C, San Fran) and the Missouri market.

Ultimately I decided not enough WUSTL grads remain in Illinois to justify only counting the associates in Chicago. I figured providing more cities would give a more accurate picture. Not including NYC because there are a gazillion firms in NYC and cuz the Yankees can suck it.

Timeline for completion is still early March.

Even the auto-acceptances? Weird. Carry on.
Yeah, in December they admitted a big wave of us through interviews + USPS, and I'm pretty sure everyone was above the LSAT wall. It did a pretty good job at ginning up excitement.

I have not personally told you yet that you're fucking awesome. You are. Forget TFA, you need to go to Wash U this year and help keep the 1L class alive and well. Keep up the good work, cuse.

This is a good point though. I feel like for people at WUSTL who are from Chicago and want to go back, they probably do better than Illinois kids. But that's hard to measure, and Illinois IS really highly regarded around here (many people I know haven't even heard of WUSTL), so who knows.

But this won't even be an issue when WUSTL drops a fat wad on all of us.

I only recently came back to Facebook. I'm not quite ready to jump into a group that would obviously out me. I'll wait until I'm ready to quit TLS (yes, that day is rapidly approaching)

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
