Yeah it seems they have been doing a lot of "restorations." Ripping out the drywall, floors, and walls. They have "brand new" apartments with washer, drier, dishwasher, and wooden floors. But they are like $800/month for 700 square feet. Their 10 month lease option is pretty nice though. Although I'm going to have to finally learn how to parallel park.

I feel like their prices for 2-3 bdrm apartments are much more reasonable then their single-bedroom prices.

I have had a roommate end up in the psych ward. So until I get to know my classmates better I'm very hesitant to pull the trigger on a double or triple. In addition to asking about our criminal history they should ask "have you ever been involuntarily institutionalized." People who answer "yes" shouldn't be discriminated against but should be watched carefully. Maybe they could ask the question after people have deposited. Cause that is scary shit.

Looking at more ways I can save money. Perhaps just not go out at all on weekends, that could probably save me a grand, right?

I'm guessing because of HIPPA it would be illegal, but something like that would greatly help reduce instances of campus violence like what happened at Virginia Tech. That guy was involuntarily institutionalized but didn't have to report it.

Supposedly there is free booze every Friday after classes at the law school. You could use that to get your buz on.

Shit, I didn't have money in UG to go out so it typically ended with chilling in someones apartment splitting a handle of Skol.

Anyone still looking for a place to live?

Looks like I'll have a townhome kind of between The Loop and Central West End (more CWE). < 2.5 miles from the law school & about 1 mi north of the park. May need a roommate. Private message me for more details if interested.

Thanks guys and look forward to meeting you in the fall!

Hey everyone, been lurking in the dark for a while, but ready to join in now. Real excited for the school year to start!

Anyone know when we find out our Fall class schedule?

welcome :D , i think schedules and section assignments are released in early August! But here's a link to the 1L grid for this Fall semester, so you can see what your schedule will be depending on which section you're in (A,B,C,D,E)

They had 6 sections when there was 275 students, and 6 sections when there were ~240 1L's, and then 6 sections when there were 200. I'd guess class size is going to come in around 200 or so again (maybe a little bit larger, after this last swell of scholarships). I'd imagine they are 'right-sizing' the section size for the 'new normal' (god I hate myself right now) and that they realized they didn't need six sections with 200 or so students.

Cool, appreciate the link.

I should acknowledge I was a big time poster during my LSAT days... exited TLS during the app cycle and am using my throwaway account permanently because my main one outs my identity in a second.

Are sections completely random? Or do they pre rank us before we come and try to make them equal like a fantasy football draft? Using LSAT or some other criteria?

no idea, some of us were talking about it earlier. I doubt it's random though. I'm guessing they try to achieve some kind of balance as far as background/gender and maybe even LSAT/GPA to create an even playing field

They should draft us, live, during orientation. We could elect captains and everything.

God this would be awesome. The only problem is, it would be team TLS vs a bunch of people who didn't know each other.

does anyone know if accepting the scholarship/loans at wustl, applying for the grad plus and filling out the master promissory note will create an issue if I accept an offer from another school?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
