Hopefully by Friday, but the committee is still discussing.

Given the overall pace of this cycle, I can't say I'm surprised. Everything is just late.

WUSTL, you have a perfect opportunity for some grade A lols right now. Do you realize the meltdown that would occur if I got admitted WITH a scholarship offer today....

Yepyepyep. I not only waited as long as everyone else, but I was one of the very last people on TLS to receive my score. That ~4 hours of refreshing my email over and over and over and over while seeing everyone else get their scores was excruciating.

Stats likely stilted by the med school campus, which is a much less affluent part of town, to my understanding.

From what I've heard/read/seen, the law school/Danforth Campus in general is in a really nice part of town.

According to that list, surviving my undergrad means WUSTL should be a piece of cake.

Also, the fact that my undergrad was on that list, let alone so high, really makes me question the whole ranking. There's some crime, of course, but it's really not bad at all.

Ehhh there are some areas very close to campus that are pretty seedy, but some nice parts as well. That's one odd thing about STL that I've noticed in my time there, you can go from nice neighborhoods to run down ghetto looking areas and back to nice again within a couple miles.

Well, first of all, it was ranked by The Daily Beast. Second, per the article, "The Daily Beast’s list is misleading because it combines statistics, reported by the university to the U.S. Department of Education, of both its Danforth campus and medical campus...." There is also another part of the university situated maybe half a mile north of the Danforth campus called the "North" campus (or M-6, for some reason) that could have been included in the report. It's not in a terrible part of town, but it's also not the best, either.

The medical campus is quite large. The area of town it is in is not bad, but there's a lot of diversity in income there--ranging from ridiculous mansions to run down single-story homes. The Central West End (the med school neighborhood) was in the past a lot worse than it is now, so there is surely a lot of lingering crime from an era where it was considered a neighborhood to avoid, by and large. The CWE sits on the edge of north city and a more central part of the city; Delmar Blvd is widely regarded as a kind of cut-off for the wealthier and more impoverished parts of the city, and both campuses are close to Delmar.

Sorry, wannabe, if this defuses the alarm you wanted to raise in prospective admits. WASH U LAW IS TERRIBLE YOU SHOULD WITHDRAW! does that help?

Well, I'd be more concerned with the surrounding area than the actual campus. U City is right next door, and there are shootings/robberies/stabbings/rapes there weekly. I work for the MO Hwy Patrol, so I get emails about the various goings-on in STL. WUSTL itself is fine though; the campus security responds quite quickly if you push the button on those alert boxes.

Push e-mail on my phone, PLUS first-hand confirmation that nothing interesting will happen today, yet here I sit, refreshing Gmail every minute or so.

JFC this cycle needs to end already. Can. Not. Wait.

Reminds me of the Oct waiting thread. I was like Harold Camping-convinced scores were coming despite LSAC's official word that they werent.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
