yeah. A 164/3.7 is solid for Emory2012Lsatscore wrote:You guys referring to me? Seriously?! Curious what your evidence is here... LSN has it at 26%. http://www.mylsn.info/ydpz3ncusenation wrote:yeah. A 164/3.7 is solid for Emory2012Lsatscore wrote:You guys referring to me? Seriously?! 1. Their 1L medians are 161-166 and 3.35-3.82Ned Racine wrote:Curious what your evidence is here... LSN has it at 26%. http://www.mylsn.info/ydpz3ncusenation wrote:

I would argue that 50% is not really all that "solid," and it's 100% for this cycle because Emory hasn't sent rejections or WLs yet...cusenation wrote:1. 2. You included every cycle in your calculation all the way back to 2007-2008. There were more applicants back then, Emory was ranked higher. That's inflating their selectivity in your calculation.
164/3.7 is well within the range of last year's medians. Yes they were #30 last year as opposed to #25 or something this year, but that doesn't mean they can necessarily afford to be more selective this year. They'll have to admit a broad range and pay up in the hopes that it's enough to woo the higher number applicants to enroll.
EDIT: Remove all the other cycles except for 11-12 and 12-13 and the odds shoot up to 50%. Include only this cycle and it's 100%
Shit i didn't even realize that. HAHA. Either way, I think 50% is fine. But it could skew lower or higher depending on how accurate the sample size is on LSN. Personally I don't think Emory's in a position to be straight-up dinging 164's right now. Even if it's a waitlist, he'd be strong candidateNed Racine wrote:I would argue that 50% is not really all that "solid," and it's 100% for this cycle because Emory hasn't sent rejections or WLs yet...cusenation wrote:1. I do, however, think that he'll get in.
