I think that because applications are down at all law schools, including Loyola, the incoming class is smaller and they have had to reduce the size of the faculty. I think they may be trimming. Law Schools are in a bit of trouble with applications be down which also explains why you see law schools reaching below their LSAT and GPA medians.whsy wrote:Shema, why do you think they may be decreasing the number of classes for 1L? If it is the case though, I will be very happy!

Yeah I did as well and completed the required tasks. I am thanking the Lord Almighty I do not need to attend at cost.

I'm still on the waitlist and I haven't heard anything. I sent in the reconfirmation form and participated in the waitlist chat session. Thought I'd hear back by now. Has anybody received a response??? Denial?? Acceptance??? I'm wayyyy below their median LSAT btw, and I'm starting to get discouraged.waitlister8 wrote:Anyone out there waiting to hear back from the wait list? and has anyone gotten off the wait list?

I was accepted off the waitlist last week....received an email and then got my packet in the mail a few days later. I was told there were very few seats available and the committee was filling spots. Fingers crossed for everyone still waiting!

Thanks for sharing.CO2016YEAH wrote:I don't know about you, but I'm not going to law school to in search of a good "bet." Tech, engineering, etc. might appear to be more lucrative options; I am not concerned with these.
Going to law school, for me, is akin to putting a square peg in a square hole. Entrepreneurship tends to come naturally for me. Becoming a lawyer gives me a product to market.
It would have been nice to have gotten into Harvard. My JD from Loyola will work just fine too.
Anyway, the point wasn't about not getting into Harvard, it was more about the state of opportunity in the legal profession, weighing your options carefully, and an analysis of risk/reward - something that I'm sure you get since entrepreneurship comes "naturally" to you.

CONGRATS! That must've felt amazing. Question for everyone: Are they actively denying people from the WL?? Or only accepting? Do the rest of us just have to wait it out???? Is this a good thing? Blehhhh. Going crazy...uscgrl2009 wrote:I was accepted off the waitlist last week....received an email and then got my packet in the mail a few days later. Withdrew this afternoon. 96k back into the pool. Nothing against LLS (would have been thrilled to go), but got a promotion at work + falling in love (needing to stay in the area to see where it goes) + one more chance at glory (I'm looking at you, December LSAT) = Justification for reapplying.
Good luck to all of you!
