Re: University of Georgia c/o 2016 applicants (2012-13 cycle)
I've officially received 3 letters from UGA informing me of my acceptance. Has anyone else received 3 letters? I keep thinking one might be scholarship information but it's just the same letter over and over again.

That means you're twice as likely to get $$$ as those who only receive one letter of acceptance. Congrats! (because clearly this isn't a clerical error)
But really y'all, UGA is a great school but their admin is not always on the ball. That's just how government works.

It's a common error. I see practicing lawyers at my work make worse errors every day. One of the things that always impressed me about UGA is despite being a public school, their admissions council has some bad ass credentials.jym_dawg wrote:That means you're twice as likely to get $$$ as those who only receive one letter of acceptance. I mean seriously. Rollins has a JD from Yale. Roseboro and Bridges are both UGA Law alumni. At a LOT of schools I've visited the admissions faculty usually hold a BA or MA of some sort, even at private schools. Very few are lawyers themselves.

Has anyone gotten any scholarship money / letters yet? I have received an acceptance letter and then another letter yesterday just generically welcoming the class of 2016 and talking about the faculty / curriculum / journals etc., but I got my hopes up it could be a scholarship letter when I first saw it in my mailbox! Haha any idea when they might send those out if no one has heard anything about scholarships yet?

Haha, not sure how I feel about this as a UF alum. Will have some identity issues if I attend UGA or any rival schools.BlueJeanBaby wrote:GO DAWGS!

I'm a life-long UGA fan and I matriculated at UF law a few years ago. It definitely was weird trying to buy things in rival colors!seancris wrote:Haha, not sure how I feel about this as a UF alum. Will have some identity issues if I attend UGA or any rival schools.BlueJeanBaby wrote:GO DAWGS!

As a Miami alum, it would be nice to attend a school like UGA that doesn't have unatteactive colors (which all three major FL schools are guilty of).BlueJeanBaby wrote:I'm a life-long UGA fan and I matriculated at UF law a few years ago. Has anyone had an acceptance since the week of Thanksgiving? I haven't seen much movement on LSN... and I'm trying to stay positive that the next big wave of decisions will be out soon. (I applied ED).

Just got an acceptance email. Hopefully that means a bunch will get decisions soon (I applied regular decision right after I got my October LSAT score.)
