Got the packet. 14k dean's scholarship renewable with a 2.95 GPA. Hopefully I can talk them up a bit once some other offers come in. Good luck to everyone waiting for the Friday emails!

Withdrew today. Portland would be cool, but between other offers and the PNW job market I can't justify it. Good luck everyone!

I'd love to get $20k. I would write my deposit check immediately.

To those of you whose status checker changed this week to decision rendered, have you received an email notification from the school yet? Can you log into the accepted student's website yet?

In on Friday with a 3.59 and a 163. It was so quick! Only two weeks between submission and decision. I applied to lower ranked schools in December and haven't heard anything so L&C was a pleasant surprise.

My file has been reviewed and they said if there is space left they will possibly admit me. Better than a wait list.

With a 3.5 and 152, I wouldn't expect any scholarship money, if they admit you at all. Did you apply to the part time program? Or are you a URM?Jacquelyn11 wrote:My file has been reviewed and they said if there is space left they will possibly admit me. Better than a wait list.

Re: Lewis and Clark 2012-2013 applicants
I applied for full time and I am not an URM. And I really didn't expect scholarship money from them or to even be accepted. I am probably going to take off a year and reapply with a better LSAT no matter what the results are.

Re: Lewis and Clark 2012-2013 applicants
How can anyone justify attending this school without a significant scholarship?
The tuition has gone up from approx $26,000 in 2005 to $38,000 now, their mean scholarship amounts have not changed much (they fluctuate from $8,000 to $10,000) in that same amount of time, their LRAP is darn near impossible to receive (only 40 students have been able to take advantage since its inception in 2000), and their employment rate is 51.5% (with 32% of those graduating in 2011 being without full time jobs).
YIKES!
What am I missing?

Where did you find this precise information regarding scholarships and LRAP?bobbypin wrote:their mean scholarship amounts have not changed much (they fluctuate from $8,000 to $10,000) in that same amount of time, their LRAP is darn near impossible to receive (only 40 students have been able to take advantage since its inception in 2000)

From the ABA info sheet and Lewis & Clark's website. I can't link right now. I'm posting from my phone.sancho wrote:Where did you find this precise information regarding scholarships and LRAP?bobbypin wrote:their mean scholarship amounts have not changed much (they fluctuate from $8,000 to $10,000) in that same amount of time, their LRAP is darn near impossible to receive (only 40 students have been able to take advantage since its inception in 2000)

This is looking more and more like the school I'm going to attend, which I'm happy about because I'm from Portland. I just hope their powerhouse environmental program doesn't overshadow everything else because I'm not particularly interested in environmental law

Nice op Ed in the Wall Street journal today called, "perverse incentives of the lawyers guild" it was written by one of the deans from Lewis and Clark law school (James Huffman).
