Justitia16: I was 1/8. I live in New York, so I guess that's how long it took to get here from Indiana.

JesusChrist: No offense taken at all. I truly think that my Why ND? essay was the reason why I got in. My pre-law adviser said it was one of the better essays she has seen since she has been working at my university. I've also been lucky enough to have an internship with a former United States President, so I think having that on the resumé helps.

I'm not sure if it went complete; I didn't check. I did not get an email that it did though, and I did not get an email about the decision either.

Got the acceptance packet in the mail today 1/11

$25,000 scholarship renewable each year with "good academic standing."

No "Why ND" essay, but 175/4.0.

Also, shout out to the University of Utah for randomly sending me a guidebook with "School of Law" as the only clearly visible words on the large envelope the day I was expecting Notre Dame's response to come in the mail. Totally got my hopes up.

My decision was mailed last week, but I haven't received it yet. I did receive a large envelope on Saturday and got excited, but it was from the US Census Bureau. I feel your pain.

Why are you applying to NDLS? Go to Yale.

Fair assessment. I retook a 168 to get that 175, so that drops my Yale chances slightly. I'm obviously still gunning for it, but in the off-chance that I don't get HYS I applied to UND to use their scholarship as leverage to ensure a full-ride at Cornell.

$25k ain't gonna help in that regard, so I'll be sending a withdraw letter back in a couple weeks. I suppose that should mean hope for anyone riding the waitlist right now.

FWIW, I got the decision made status and never got the letter so I just emailed admissions and they scanned me my waitlist letter.

A point of concern that I should have addressed earlier though ---- My status checker showed that I did not have a "Why ND" essay - but I did send it in with the application. My transmitted PDF application to NDLS on LSAC shows that it was attached.

Anyone know what happened here?

Would hate to find out I missed out on either an admission or scholly due to this.

I would just call them tomorrow am and ask. My decision was mailed today as well. Damn you snail mail. What happened to using technology??

Same thing happened to me. I had "Decision Made" on 12/18, then spent the whole holiday season checking my mailbox and telling myself they probably haven't sent it yet and to wait until they get back from break. When I finally got that scan via email it was thoroughly underwhelming
