It don't say priority decision buddy.
Seriously though, I hope they come through soon. I've been DF since April 18 and nothing in the mail...

I mean, I really don't care because I wouldn't go there anyway, but it's getting comical how long they're stalling on my app as if I'd be waiting for them all this time. Figured half a year would be enough time to decide whether to admit/WL/deny me.

Did they lose the 167/3.7s? From the tone of the email, I got a feeling this was very likely.mcs268 wrote:Dammit USC for that email to all waitlsiters that just went out..ON THE DEPOSIT DEADLINE. really thought I got in for a second.

yeah this email seems optimistic that they're gonna be letting a lot of people in off the WL.Dream Weave wrote:Did they lose the 167/3.7s? Can somebody post the email? Still haven't heard back on an initial decision, but I'm wondering how they are treating the wait list people.Dream Weave wrote:Did they lose the 167/3.7s? Since they also extended the waitlist interview AND mentioned sending letters, sounds like they haven't heard much from the waitlist either. Hopeful, since I sent both of those before this email..

I don't think they care about the GPA as much as the LSAT. so if you have a 167 regardless of your GPA you can get off the waitlist.

Totally agree that the 167 is the limited number. It seems like they accepted most of them though already.zman wrote:Dream Weave wrote:Did they lose the 167/3.7s? If anybody that has done the video could provide insight as to what the hell it is, you would be loved forever. Sincerely, pretty much all of us on the WL.

Re: USC c/o 2016 Applicants
You have 3 minutes to record a webcam video (not that kind you dirty perverts) where you answer 2 of 4 questions. They are (paraphrased):KanyeShrug wrote:If anybody that has done the video could provide insight as to what the hell it is, you would be loved forever. Sincerely, pretty much all of us on the WL.
1 - describe a significant accomplishment and why its important
2 - describe a risk you've taken or ethical dilemma you have faced and its impact on you
3 - if you didn't go into law what would you do
4 - describe a problem in the world and how you're becoming a lawyer might influence it
You can record it as many times as you like (i did ~20 takes) but once you decide to re-record, the old recording is lost forever, so be sure to rewatch it and evaluate it before you decide to re-record or submit. Hope this helps!

Yeah I haven't seen too many people with 167's getting waitlisted..it seems to be more 166s. Look, they are throwing 120k at 167s..to think they would WL some is kind of weird when they're throwing that kind of money around.Dream Weave wrote:Totally agree that the 167 is the limited number. Not denying that 167s, whoever they are on the WL, will be the first ones taken off. But will enough of them accept? probably unlikely, if that many 167s with 120k have apparently dropped out.

The only thing is that USC's class size is absurdly small. Idk they could protect them. The good news is that with lsn and tls we will no the minute the wall falls (if it ever does). As of now, they are still at a 167

Really? Just looked on lsn, and there are only 2 confirmed attendees 167 and above. I don't think you can go by just people that are accepted.

I got a DF finalized today between 4:30-5:00pm PST... no email but don't know if that is because it was later in the day... has anyone had any good news with an email a day or two later?

"If you remain interested in being considered for admissions, and can realistically be flexible in making a last minute change from your current plans, then please send us an email"
Do you think responding to this will help or hurt your status on the waitlist? Will it make them more likely to let you in later rather than earlier? I don't like that "last minute change from your current plans"....I'm not waiting on them until August

Yes... The email initially sounds positive but that "last minute change" part is discouraging...owells wrote:"If you remain interested in being considered for admissions, and can realistically be flexible in making a last minute change from your current plans, then please send us an email"

Re: USC c/o 2016 Applicants
I think you're reading too much into it. Being interested on a waitlist implies you're willing to make a last minute change. If they want you at a certain time, they will want you at that time. They're not just going to offer admission first to people with 166s who can't make a change in august over 167s who can make a change in august..its gonna be numbers based, as always.RetakeFrenzy wrote:Yes...
