perhaps later in the cycle when the 120k people start withdrawing and going to higher ranked schools, you could get more assuming your stats are above the medians at the minimum.eav1277 wrote:Accepted yesterday. Very odd! I wonder why it's taking so long! Even if its first class mail it should've been there already
My mail is yet to come today

Also, just graduated from USC UG if anyone has any questions about the university, the area, housing, or my limited knowledge about the law school. I did get to take one LAW course as an UG hehe

Planning to visit USC in March...how is public transportation in LA? Is it fairly easy to get from USC to UCLA?

to answer your question: public transportation is sketchy as hell. you'd have better luck catching a ride from a local TLSer . . .

I agree. I visited LA two years ago and thought the same. Plus NO ONE WALKS. I remember walking from one place to another and people were looking at me astonishedjackbauer10 wrote:lulz.dykstaab wrote:Planning to visit USC in March...how is public transportation in LA? Haha alright, thanks. Heard USC is right next to a rough neighborhood...any reason to worry about the area?jackbauer10 wrote:lulz.dykstaab wrote:Planning to visit USC in March...how is public transportation in LA? Is it fairly easy to get from USC to UCLA?

Good to know. From rural Midwest so LA would be quite a change for me...excited to visit though! Anybody have any idea how much USC negotiates? Got the 120k from them but have fulls from similarly ranked schools.

Re transportation between the two schools, you could just hop on the metro rail to 7th street and then take the 720 Rapid. Kind of a pain, but not difficult.

I dont know if USC will go over 120k unless you get the Rothman(full tution plus a guarantee SA with skadden which will pay about 20-30). Your only hope is that most if not all of the 120ks will turn them down go to other schools and some people will get full rides as a result of that if they get desperate.dykstaab wrote:Good to know. Final Committee read today finally! I don't know if this has been answered in all of these pages before this but how long after the final read do people usually hear and through snail mail or email or status checker or a combination?

Yeah that is what I would expect as well....will definitely be a difficult choice to make. Do you think a J.D. from USC is fairly portable?zman wrote:I dont know if USC will go over 120k unless you get the Rothman(full tution plus a guarantee SA with skadden which will pay about 20-30). It's not advisable to attend UCLA/USC without a desire to work in CA. That being said, data seems to suggest some portability for both schools. With ties, probably a decent chance as any if your grades are top notch.dykstaab wrote:Yeah that is what I would expect as well....will definitely be a difficult choice to make. Thank you. Currently have no ties to California but from what I hear, it is pretty easy to fall in love with Southern California. Are USC and UCLA pretty much viewed as equals in LA?dproduct wrote:It's not advisable to attend UCLA/USC without a desire to work in CA.
