Just noticed UF's medians dropped last cycle. 161/3.59. Used to be 162/3.65 or so, IIRC.

Combined with UF's annual 15% tuition hikes and declining apps, it seems like it will be difficult to raise these medians or even stop the damage without increasing scholarships.

Last year it would've been cheaper for me to go to #24 Emory or pay out-of-state tuition at higher-ranked Ohio State than to accept UF's offer. Makes sense to see that medians dropped.

Here's to hoping for more merit-aid this cycle.

Florida is notoriously stingy on giving away money at pretty much every level and I really don't expect that to change. Pretty much every school is experiencing the same type of minute decreases in LSAT and GPA. Their cheap tuition and low CoL while being the best school in Florida will still allow them to be cheap.

The supplemental application, residency affidavit, separate PS -- all that UF-specific stuff. The quick copy-and-paste routine that got me through my other apps made UF's seem like it asking for so much extra.

It really wasn't.

Mine went under initial review yesterday too. hope thats a good thing and I dont have to wait too long to hear back like a lot of people last year.

I wasn't in the first batch of admits and I was admitted by this time last cycle. Probably three batches of admission decisions had been released by this time.

Not sure how thanksgiving will interfere with the timeline but it's probably safe to say that we won't have to wait too much longer for the first batch.

UF's financial aid package was nonexistent, and sticker wasn't close to competitive with offers from much higher-ranked schools. Couldn't leave Gainesville last year, so I decided to wait a year, retake the LSAT, and reapply.

Considering UF a safety this year after receiving a higher LSAT score, but I think Gainesville is a great area and wouldn't mind attending at the right price.

Definitely in. I believe they send out rejections via e-mail, so if you don't get an e-mail today, I would say you're good to go.

We're in the first batch of admits. UF doesn't do rejections until February or so, at least for the past three+ years.

Again, don't worry about "No Decision Reached." Mine said that this morning.
