I think last year only a few TLSers heard before winter break. I think updates will be scarce.

Combined with stellar numbers, I'm sure. Otherwise I'm about to punt a Hail Mary Yale's way.pacifica wrote:2 were added to Facebook group yesterday, 3 more today. it's coming, slowly but surely. at this rate, maybe 15 to 20 before Xmas?ssanonymous wrote:I think last year only a few TLSers heard before winter break. Awesome. Mind keeping us updated on the facebook group? Seems like there hasn't been many updates on LSN, so it's hard to keep track. Congrats again!pacifica wrote:2 were added to Facebook group yesterday, 4 more today. it's coming, slowly but surely. at this rate, maybe 15 to 20 before Xmas?ssanonymous wrote:I think last year only a few TLSers heard before winter break. Lol @ the diversity. Yeah, my buddy says the bulk of the students at Yale came from top schools.
I'm curious as to why the twitter hasn't been updated. They usually let people know when they're making calls.

This for the people who are still "Intending to Apply" on LSN because of that goddamn 250:

Re: Yale c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013 cycle)
So do you guys think it's too late to bother with a hail mary to Yale? With a 3.9X and a 171, plus no great ideas for a 250 and coming from a "normal" school, I didn't bother. But I have three days off for Christmas so I could send one out just so I'd have entirely papered the T14.

If the app fee won't be a burden, why not?Eichörnchen wrote:So do you guys think it's too late to bother with a hail mary to Yale? Amsong, I know a guy who is a 1L there now with 171 and high 3.8's. It could change your life, I say go for it

Oh, not me. I did apply. Wish I had those numbers! But alas, I was responding to the poster above me.Starships wrote:Amsong, I know a guy who is a 1L there now with 171 and high 3.8's. It could change your life, I say go for it

Thanks guys! I guess I'm kind of a dumbass to have been too intimidated to apply back in Oct. Oh well! I'm sure life will be OK either way.
I'll send my app this Christmas - maybe that'll bring luck? May the baby Jesus smile upon my app.

Re: Yale c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013 cycle)
It's never too late to apply unless the deadline has passed. There is no advantage to applying early to YLS, other than possibly receiving a decision earlier. Apply, but wait until you're happy with your 250.Eichörnchen wrote:So do you guys think it's too late to bother with a hail mary to Yale? It was refreshing to see that the later application opening date and Hurricane Sandy did not alter Yale's admissions decisions very much.

That's so funny! But... why is it hosted on Columbia's official site?UMich11 wrote:+1dcg2120 wrote:This for the people who are still "Intending to Apply" on LSN because of that goddamn 250:

To clarify: Columbia gives its students free web hosting. I don't have any legitimate use for it, and I couldn't fit the damn thing in a .gif. This is in no way an official Columbia anything.Mdenis1 wrote:But... why is it hosted on Columbia's official site?

Does Yale Law interview applicants? Why isn't this explicitly addressed on their website?

Almost no movement from Yale and SLS. Odd. Maybe Asha & co. are avoiding all the TLSers and LSNers.
Good luck to everyone in the new year!
