My friend told me that only about 50% of the email across campus is working properly right now... maybe that held up final approvals/coordinating with professors, etc.?

Netflix instant suggestions while we wait? Other than the obvious, like I've watched Mad Men and House of Cards, etc.

Episodes of the Walking Dead. I looooooove zombies and post-apocalyptic dystopias.

If you haven't sat through all four glorious and three mediocre seasons of that, and if you want a law-related show, Damages is supposed to be pretty good.

I submitted my application 2 hours before the deadline. My file became complete on March 7th. Thus far, nothing but silence. My friend, who graduated from the Yale law school, opined that my application has not been in review sufficiently long.

Walking dead is very credited but I've already watched it. I think I've watched every series worth watching over the past few years- Mad Men, Breaking Bad, Sopranos, The Wire, Dexter, Curb Your Enthusiasm, House of Cards, Game of Thrones, Archer, and probably a couple others. I haven't done some of the old school HBO like Deadwood or Six Feet Under though.PutinSucks wrote:bernaldiaz wrote:Netflix instant suggestions while we wait? Six Feet Under and Deadwood are absolutely amazing. Deadwood might be my favorite historical show ever. Definitely worth your time.bernaldiaz wrote:Walking dead is very credited but I've already watched it. May I suggest It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia then? It tends to be quite vulgar, but so funny! And some episodes actually offer an interesting commentary on social issues. My favorite episode is the one in which the gang tries to change a crack-addicted prostitute into a less ill-mannered person.

IMO the best two comedies on Netflix are Freaks and Geeks and Parks and Rec. Freaks and Geeks is probably the most accurate show I've ever seen and does an amazing job of balancing humor with drama/poignancy. Parks and Rec is just really, really well written and has a great cast.bernaldiaz wrote:Walking dead is very credited but I've already watched it. I've never watched Freaks and Geeks, but it has such a cult following and honestly most of the time that means it's pretty good.Yukos wrote:IMO the best two comedies on Netflix are Freaks and Geeks and Parks and Rec. What do people think about Boardwalk Empire? That's probably the only show that didn't make my list that gets really good press, but for some reason the premise doesn't pull me in.

Haha thanks. That an addictive personality when it comes to TV shows. I don't watch a ton of TV but when I do it's typically a three day marathon where that series takes up 60% of my waking hours.sinfiery wrote:Damn, you have some good taste beardz.

Also, I'm tearing through West Wing right now, highly recommended for any political junkies. Season 2 finale is the best episode of any show I've ever seen not called The Wire.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
