I think the tweet actually implies they sent out FEWER than they expected, since the power went out early. /wishfulthinking

Yale is least diverse of the T3 and that's ok, each school has a different focus. But are you suggesting that you have to be above the medians to get in as a urm. Maybe that's how they do it.

He was definitely not suggesting that. Sometimes, clusters of admits tend to have a greater or lesser number of URMs or non-URMs. In those cases, you can compare the two to get a very vague idea of where the bar is for each group.
