Cardozo January Start

Post by sally123 » Tue Sep 11, 2012 2:51 am

Can people admitted to the January class at Cardozo in the past post their stats if you don't mind? I'm applying for January 2013, and am extremely nervous about it. Would December too late to take the LSAT for consideration into the program? I graduated in May, and want to start law school earlier than next fall so am applying to January start schools.

From their website it looks like they accept dec scores, but I would just call them. I was thinking about the Jan start but decided against it, partly because it completely closes your cycle. Versus if you apply for the May start you can still apply to other schools with a summer start (NU & UMich if Cardozo is a safe school for you) and also several schools with a fall start, since you can always accept admissions with Cardozo and then withdraw if you get accepted somewhere else before may. I think the January start is way too limited for the 4 months difference from the May start. Another thing to consider is that if you apply for January Cardozo is going to use your 2011 FAFSA to caculate aid (since you won't file taxes for 2012 before the term begins). I don't if it makes a difference for you, but it's also something to consider.
