Talked to the office and they said there is nothing wrong, they are just backed up in some cities.
The condescending posts about the fools who sit on their hands for months are unhelpful, as are the posts telling people to call the office incessantly. NU is backed up with requests and they are slow this year. No need to act like an asshole.

Placed on "hold", i.e. deferred to regular applicant pool. What I was expecting so no hard feelings whatsoever. At least I know!

Yeah I actually got good news from Northeastern today...I'm gonna hurry up and do the 2nd round ED to Penn now that I am no longer bound by Northwestern's ED. My only T25 apps I have still out there are Emory, UVA, Michigan, and Penn (after this ding). 4 more chances to get accepted somewhere special. I really goofed on my LSAT...at the 25% for all the schools. I just hope one will love me for my softs!ashockofpink wrote:Oof they rejected you outright?! That's lame sauce. I'm sorry bro/chica. Just wondering bc I applied for the heck of it, but would actually really love to go to NW......I have a 165 and around a 3.6. Do I have ANY CHANCE at all?? Non-urm, straight out of undergrad but i've worked part-time forever and I graduated in December so technically 8 months of full-time WE.
Do I even have a shot?

No chance. But if you work for a year and get your LSAT up to a 170 (totally doable) you have a really good shot next year. I already retook the LSAT in December from October. In October I got a 161 (83rd) and December a 165 (91st), which was a miracle cause I thought I didn't do too great on one of the sections. Retaking again is just out of the question. Oh well, maybe i'll get lucky somehow and my interviewer loves me enough to do something crazy. Thanks for your input though!BigZuck wrote:No chance. Re: Northwestern Law C/O 2016 (2012-2013 Applicants)
I have taken the test 3 times. First and second times were almost the same scores as you got, third time was the charm to break on through to the t14. It's not out of the question it's just something you've gotta do. Because right now you're in kind of a no man's land. I think the LSAT sucks too but it's just something we have to conquer. Good luck!helpplease wrote:I already retook the LSAT in December from October. Neither. NU has a "message delivery system" you can access once it says "Decision letter available within 24 hours". Google it, it's kinda annoying to find but that's the ONLY way they'll tell you what your decision is.Mdenis1 wrote:Sorry to hear. Re: Northwestern Law C/O 2016 (2012-2013 Applicants)
You have a *small* shot, but a shot nonetheless imo. It depends on your softs, if you did an interview (highly suggested) follow up with a "thank you" e-mail & ask for his/her card btw..., if you wrote any optional essays, have a kick ass personal statement. Number wise you're a bit low, but that doesn't mean it's completely impossible. I'd say submit THE BEST package you can if you're truly interested instead of applying "for the heck of it". If that means adding a supplementary essay after the fact... do it. If you can chat with anyone from the admissions office... do it. Show what you can bring to the table and sell yourself. The interview is a great place to do that. They'll take notes. They'll see what you can offer. Emphasize that your LSAT score isn't representative of "you". If you have an upwards grade trend or chose a particularly difficult major (or are from a particularly challenging school), tell them that. Try to get them to see "beyond the numbers"helpplease wrote:I already retook the LSAT in December from October. Honestly not trying to be a jerk but 3.6/165 has no chance at NU according to mylsn.info

Retake is the only way in.

Hey everybody, I have a request.
If anyone here has used mylsn.info (LinkRemoved) and it has proven to tremendously aid you in the law school admissions process, please consider voting for LSATSCORES2012 in this poll. He is the creator of this tool and because of the degree to which it has aided me in my application process, I feel he should without a doubt be the winner of the tittle, "Most helpful poster" for 2012. If you agree with me, please vote for him too.
Thanks!
