Has anybody successfully negotiated scholarship?

I sent an email request and Dean Martinidez got back to me with a "We'll consider it."

Same situation here. I used scholarship offers from St. John's and Brooklyn as leverage. Cardozo ASD was kick ass.

It was pretty relaxed, very informative. Cardozo is one of the schools I've been most curious about, I had never even heard of it until I started thinking about law school. Everyone was really nice and willing to answer anything you asked them, the panels were good (the moot court room was a little chilly so if you're going the spring when it's warmer I'd bring a sweater), I thought it was a good day overall. The only thing I was skeptical of was the employment situation of most students afterward, none of the 2Ls and 3Ls I talked with seemed worried and they said their classmates weren't worried either but I still felt like I was only getting half the story.

Am I able to negotiate with a school that is not a peer school?

Your best bet is to use a peer school like Brooklyn or possibly St. John's (which is considered a little lower and the last I heard they had some ridiculous stips on their scholarships). If you've got comparable from schools outside like BU, American, etc, those might work too.

Also, it's a bit early to be calling it on scholarship negotiated. Last cycle this went on well into the late spring / early summer.

It's always cold in here. Not kidding that it's my #1 complaint about this school.

I was accepted via phone call on 2/13 but haven't received any e-mails or snail mail about my acceptance (although they did e-mail me the invitation to the ASD -- which I attended).... Do they usually take this long?

It was for the May Program and contained no scholarship information, as was assumed being that it was the May program, and my stats.

Anybody admitted into the May Program offered money??? I WISH I cold go to Cardozo, I just have to figure out a way to not sell my soul to the debt gods.

Pretty sure May Program admits aren't eligible for any scholarships. Not 100% sure, but fairly certain. Friend of mine was admitted last year and that's what she told me; I also think I read it somewhere.

I applied for the may program and I havent had any movement since 1/10 (complete and under review). I'm getting pretty nervous! Do you think this means I'm awaiting a rejection?

I applied in November and got a drcision last week so I would not panic if I were You cause its probably going to take them a few more weeks (my guess).
