I'm applying this cycle with 2.52/168, what are my chances? Will I receive any money?

Thanks for your time.

Your LSAT is impressive for UB but with your GPA I am unsure. Hopefully your LSAT will hold it's own and you'll at least get acceptance but with no money.

I might be a little anxious but I've been under review for about a week now. How long does it usually take to hear back?

Hey everyone, I was recently accepted to UB- 3.38/161
Waiting on my packet in the mail with scholarship info, which I am hoping will arrive today. I'm disappointed to hear that they don't give much.

I currently live in Buffalo, so if anyone has questions regarding where to live, what the city is like, things to do, etc. feel free to ask. With law school apps out, I have no idea if I'll be here much longer, but I do love it here, especially the city- and it's really not that cold! I'm originally from Long Island as well, and still have family there- and their winters the past three years have been much harsher than what we've had in Buffalo!

Hi! I applied with a February LSAT so my application was after 3/1. My application status still
says "complete" since March 18. Does anyone know if the online status checker
is updated automatically or is behind? Has anyone been given a decision and yet the status checker still said "under review"? Just wondering if my application is under review yet and maybe the status checker is not updated.

Mine never went under review- it was "complete" for quite a while, then suddenly changed to accepted.
They were one of the slower to respond schools- and calling never really seemed to get me anywhere.

Hope that helps.

Congrats on your acceptance! How long did your total application process take? When did you apply?

Thanks! I've decided against UB, mainly for financial reasons (better scholarship offers), but I've lived in Buffalo for about 8 years and love it here. If you need advice on areas to find housing or things to do, let me know. It's definitely a great, affordable city with lots of character.

I just checked my LSN to confirm dates- applied 1/14, decision received 2/12 via status checker. It took about another week and a half to get my welcome packet from them (which I found odd since I live about 20 minutes away).

Did you end up being accepted? I was accepted and my gpa was low, but I had medical reasons which I was able to address and explain (pre medical issue gpa was 4.0 and following treatment went back to that for semester gpa but cumulative was lowered because of the 2 bad semesters I had while getting treatment). Based on the date of your post kylemba I am assuming you have received a decision already but in case people looking at UB for the next application cycle are reading this still I wanted to put it out there that depending on circumstances you can get accepted with a lower gpa.

What is the cost of renting a place off campus? Is the area expensive? Above or below $600/month?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
