Got 4 pounds of the good stuff from them a couple weeks ago. Best $83 I've ever spent in my life.

Order two weeks ahead and drop 83 bucks and you don't have to wait!

Nope. While the Salt Lick is definitely delicious and a staple of Austin, Franklin BBQ is the indisputable champ.

+1 No one can compete with Franklin's brisket. But Salt Lick is damn good and has a great atmosphere.

I'd agree food wise, but the whole experience of driving to salt lick and eating there is just fantastic.

So if there are any Texas grads reading this do you have any idea how the class of 2012 did in terms of employment? Better than 2011? How about this upcoming graduating class? Is it looking like there will be better opportunities out there?

The 2L with whom I work spoke of his class finding secure jobs very quickly around Texas. He mentioned that even the bottom of the top half of his class are securing themselves in some pretty great, areas of employment. The class before him, however, doesn't appear to be doing so well.

Thats great to hear about this years class. Sucks to hear about last years class though. It seems like it is all about starting off strong your first year after law school.

3L here. I've said this previously, but most of the people I know have something lined up after graduation (majority of which is biglaw). The sample group I'm drawing from is probably pretty skewed though--I really don't know what the situation is like for a lot of the people in the bottom half.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
