I'm not sure if this is my second or third update, but there's an update.
ETA: Checked the status checker app, this is my second update since complete. One more day closer to the WL

I think I just got my second "Complete" today too. Not 100% sure if it's 2nd or 3rd though.

Re: Cornell c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
I got an update today. This is my first update after going complete on Dec. 1st (I submitted in mid-Nov., but it took a while to go complete since I wasn't an EA applicant).

Deferred to RD pool just now via status checker and email. Better than a rejection. Still feels like salt in an open wound.

Deferred :/
169/4.0
Haven't been WL'd anywhere yet. Pretty disconcerting.

Your numbers are very strong for Cornell; I'm so surprised they didn't take you outright. Did you write anything for the "Interest in Cornell" blurb?Dylanlj13 wrote:Deferred :/

First deferral... 168/3.72. Was cautiously optimistic about Cornell, definitely one of my favorites . Better than a ding I guess.
And Dylanlj13, wtf! I'm surprised you weren't admitted. If Cornell is really one of your top choices I'd DEFINITELY suggest writing them a LOCI and reserving your spot to be re-evaluated.

Deferred this morning, 3.4/164.
Also grateful/hopeful because it wasn't a ding.

Wow seems like it's deferral day. Makes me not want to get an email from Cornell today...

Best of luck. Hopefully it's just today that's dedicated to break people's hearts and it is in no way reflective of the rest of the EA group :/.swordking90 wrote:Wow seems like it's deferral day. Makes me not want to get an email from Cornell today...

Same here. If I had been accepted, I'd probably be the first ever with my terrible GPA.RecordPlayer89 wrote:Deferred this morning, 3.4/164.

Admitted today via status checker (didn't even see my 3d update coming)
168/3.6
So happy...Sorry for you guys being deferred, but as was said before, they'd probably just reject you outright if they thought you were not qualified.
So don't lose hope!

Re: Cornell c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
If this has been addressed elsewhere, feel free to point me there. If one doesn't get a Dean's Scholarship invitation, is there a maximum amount of scholarship aid that can be expected? I'm assuming that they wouldn't hand out full rides unsolicited if they have this invitation process, but I would love to know for sure. Thanks!

In today with deans scholarship invitation. 174/3.5 non URM. Submitted 11/5, complete 11/20. Only saw two updates (12/10, 12/17).
Visited Cornell and really liked it, so I'm super excited!
