So is it safe to assume that if we do in fact receive a letter this week it's an acceptance?

Rejections don't come out this early, and nobody snail mails waitlist decisions, so its an acceptance (assuming its not spam).WhiteyCakes wrote:Could be anythingCrowing wrote:So is it safe to assume that if we do in fact receive a letter this week it's an acceptance?

That's what I was thinking. Also it looks like last year the first letters arrived 4 days after the postmark date. So I wouldn't get too excited about today.ChampagnePapi wrote:Rejections don't come out this early, and nobody snail mails waitlist decisions, so its an acceptance (assuming its not spam).WhiteyCakes wrote:Could be anythingCrowing wrote:So is it safe to assume that if we do in fact receive a letter this week it's an acceptance?

Sorry for the general ignorance on my part, but when should I expect a response as an ED applicant? Georgetown's website seems to suggest that ED applicants would be notified of a decision within three weeks of submitting an application (insofar as he/she applied before Feb. 1), but I went complete on the LSAC website on 9/26 and I have heard nada.

Its complete from the status checker date not the LSAC website date. I submitted around then and went complete on 10/1 so I expect something by the end of the week. Also an ED applicant btw.zzzz wrote:Sorry for the general ignorance on my part, but when should I expect a response as an ED applicant? Next week, my ED comrades, stay thirsty...
On a serious note, and I know that this is just speculation, but how much does the alumni interview change the 3 week ED decision promise? Anyone have insight or info? Anecdotes maybe.

Good question. I have no idea really, although I think I remember reading about some really quick responses one way or another. I wonder if they still just snail mail it though which means at best four days after your interview. When did you go complete?Manhattanman wrote:Next week, my ED comrades, stay thirsty...

Re: Georgetown c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
Went complete on 10/1. Let me guess, so did you. I read that they will keep the ED timeline in mind, and will try to move quickly after hearing from the interviewer. Interview is this Tuesday. My interviewer has been really quick with e mail responses, so I'm assuming she'll be quick with sending my evaluation to g'town.hunter.d wrote:Good question. Good luck man! Yeah, I got the three updates with 10/1 being my first complete. Looks like no interview for me, hopefully that's a good thing. Let us know how it goes Tuesday.Manhattanman wrote:10/1--10/12. Interview email was sent on 10/12hunter.d wrote:TheThriller wrote:Did both of you get an interview offer?
