Michigan's "persona" led me to apply and then, after I did, I did more research on the school and feel that it would be a great fit for me. Unfortunately, I also rushed my "Why Mich" essay and another optional essay and I now regret not taking the time to perfect it. Are they willing to overlook less-thoughtful essays in favor of numbers? I'm sitting right at both their 75ths.

I've been following this thread for a while now, but I've decided to stop being a lurker and finally post something...

I have to admit that when I get bored, I look at pictures of the Law Quad and fantasize about going to school at Hogwarts. I know it's nerdy, but if I can't admit it here then where can I, right?

Submitted on 11/19 and still haven't received status checker. Anybody else experienced the same thing? Should I contact them or is it pretty normal for Michigan? Thanks!

I am really banking on my essays, alumni status, and a bunch of softs to give me that bump. but it's still a long shot.

I submitted mine on the 18th and got a status checker on the 1st I think. Also, I went complete today!
