Yea, looking at the LSN graph I thought I was pretty squarely in admit territory, figured I would have at least gotten a WL invite, but UVA wasn't high on my list anyways.

Received an email informing me I am accepted with $40k/year in merit scholarship!
Really wish I got to talk to her but still excited nonetheless.


UVA is definitely in consideration now. $$$ talks.

Yeah, seems to be the case...out of the blue interview too, that was something else. Wish I could have prepared a bit but I'm happy with the ending.

got my ED confirm email on 12/1 but haven't heard anything back. can't remember if it went complete at the top of the status checker at a later date, but i am pretty sure its had the same header since that time. i guess a few days makes no difference, but i'm dying to know if i got WL/Rejected so i can move on

I unsubscribed almost immediately and still got in. I'd say just go for it. You don't need the extra heart attack every three weeks or however often they troll 0Ls with those newsletters.

Sorry that I didn't quite follow up the thread, but how did it go for people who received such an email-- "getting to know you better"? I just received one too.
