The new rejection put their decision date as "12-29-12" so I think they are just late to post data. The new deferral is a screw up by LSN - should not be showing up under the current cycle as their profile hasn't been updated in 8+ months (except for Cornell where they updated 21 days ago, weird) and couldn't possibly have received all those decisions for the current cycle, as it would be impossible to have heard from all of CLS, Chicago, and UPenn at this point - as RD decisions haven't been made yet as these schools, and you can't ED at all 3.

Good catch. I just noticed differences and got excited. :P

FINALLY IN. At 3:19 EST. :D
170/3.76
Complete 11/5

I also spoke to an admissions rep earlier today who indicated that all ED decisions would be made by Friday. So there is yet hope for those of you still waiting.
Good luck everyone!

Congrats, everyone. Deferred as well. Unfortunately, my LSDAS GPA is taking a slight dip so I can't imagine that'd work in my favor when I send in my updated transcripts. Should I take the February LSAT? I just don't know if I can bump my score up a good five or six points with only a month to prepare.

Does "deferred" mean that Penn will consider your application that was originally ED among the RD's now?

Made this for myself so it only includes the schools that I haven't heard back from yet, but here ya go:

--LinkRemoved--

(also relevant but not so much to this thread... --LinkRemoved--)

As you can see, last year the first wave of RD's came out from about the 25th to the 27th of January.

Yes. The first RD admits last year heard on January 24th via snail mail. The year before it was January 25th.

Just curious, what made you think it was early January?

Doesn't the graph on the first page show 70 decisions coming in January 4th last year?

Those numbers refer to weeks -- 4th week.

The graph is misleading. This is why I asked Anon why he thought it was early January.

When the bottom of the graph says JAN 4, it means the fourth week in January.

Hope that helps :)

My brother was accepted two years ago and I vaguely remembered first week in January that's all... My mistake. Ahhh incorrect impressions that are altered are so painful I was so excited to find out or at least maybe find out

For RD applicants, is there any indication on the status tracker that a decision has been made and to be expecting a letter, or does it just show up unexpected one day?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
