You really are. But whatever. I'm proud I'll be attending a school that was willing to give you a shot in an interview (and was then so impressed that they admitted you the next day).TripTrip wrote:Obvious YP. When do we think new admits will hear about scholarship money? I can't attend ASW since I already booked my flight to Berkeley's which is the same weekend, so it seems like my decision on Chicago will come down to little more than prestige and money unfortunately...

WL in the wave earlier. Chicago is definitely my top choice (outside of the impossible H&S) but trying to stay positive and remember that I really liked CLS and NYU. Gotta get to work on that letter!

UR1 3/29. Haven't gotten WL or dinged yet, but expecting one of those. Should I expect a wait through the weekend?

Thought I would be rejected for sure (165/3.7). Pretty excited. Time to write some essays.

You just went under review right? I don't think Chicago'll be quick enough to reach a decision within a week...lawsch16 wrote:UR1 3/29. Haven't gotten WL or dinged yet, but expecting one of those. Should I expect a wait through the weekend?

I guess that's probably true. But after 2.5 months of sitting at complete, I'm more than ready for sweet fate to release me from my waiting.swordking90 wrote:You just went under review right? Also in today via email, no interview. Corollary to the above: are Rubies included in the next scholarship email? Or if we didn't hear today, that's it (ala CLS)?pannekoeken wrote:When do we think new admits will hear about scholarship money? It seems like people usually hear about Rubies about 1-2 weeks after their acceptances.jselson wrote:Also in today via email, no interview. in via email, no interview. C-167-171, 4
submit 1/4
complete 1/16
UR 3/1
Admitted 3/29
Super insanely pumped. thought there was no way they were going to let me in without a interview so I thought I had been passed up when I didn't get a invite. a very pleasant surprise.
tough decisions ahead, $ will play a large role. Is there anything I need to do besides FAFSA and Need at Uchi? Thanks again!!

Waitlisted. Pretty much what I expected. Applied super late, no interview or Why UChi essay, 3.3/176. Guess I'll cross my fingers that they decide they need an LSAT median boost. I have a pretty good offer on the table from NU, so I will probably end up in the Windy City anyway.

WL
Surprisingly not disappointed at all. I have a generous fin aid package at NU and I already live in Chicago (and don't want to live on the south side...). Over the last couple weeks, I talked to a ton of current students from both NU and Chicago. Those at NU seem really happy and say the school's good but fun, and I got a lot of mixed reviews from Chicago students. Still can't beat that #4 slot though.
I'm going to go happily submit my deposit

WL yesterday via email. Interviewed on 3/14. It was two days after my JS1, so I didn't get to prepare much for UChi. 174/3.8.

Sorry to hear, man. Did you have to prepare much for Chicago's interview? Honestly I thought it was straight softballs.siredwrdross wrote:WL yesterday via email. Interviewed on 3/14. It was two days after my JS1, so I didn't get to prepare much for UChi. 174/3.8.

I'd agree with that - I didn't prepare much but I honestly felt like it went pretty well. Though my answers to "why Chicago" could have been a little more polished.

In yesterday. Interviewed the day before. Complete 1/10.
I prepared a lot for the interview and thought I did pretty well, but I definitely didn't expect to hear back so soon. Fingers crossed for some of dat cash.
