It's like a progression of phases. I start out positive so that I have the motivation to attempt things, transition to being negative so I won't be disappointed, then go back to being positive so I'm happy with whatever ends up happening.

I'm trying to kill all hope that NYU is going to accept me so I think we should all totally lose our composure. Make it weird.

My friend got in today RD! 3.92, 176. Ahhhh!!! Now i'm nervous.

I'm holding off until he offers clarification. E and R are right next to each other on the keyboard, after all, and I need to be sure before I add yet another thing to my already overflowing plate.

Offering clarification. I meant RD as in Regular Decision. He has a 3.92, 176, and he got in today via phone call. Im sitting on a 3.98, 171 and hoping for a call in the next few weeks. Stressed.

Almost positive only letters go out to RDers.

That stuff is just the theory. In practice it's a lot harder to follow; I think I'll be pretty crushed if I fail my ED at this point

I don't want to hold out hope because it will only be make me more disappointed in the event that I am rejected, but the admissions office is acting so weird this cycle! ED decisions at 4 PM on one day, then RD decisions the next day? So I'm finding it hard to believe that the vast majority of ED acceptances have gone out. I rather I don't want to believe that they have.

I was just accepted ED with a 171 retake, 3.50(Median LSAT, 25% GPA) so there's hope if you're a bit below the average! I definitely benefitted from the lowered LSAT/GPA standards. I highly doubt I would have been accepted 2 years ago.

Congrats! What was the date of the "Decision Letter Sent" status? It looks like you were the only ED applicant (on TLS) accepted yesterday.

I'm thinking most of us remaining ED applicants are heading for deferral, and RD admits will begin early next week. I'll still hold on to some hope, but it's fading fast.

There it is folks. If you can log into the admitted students website that means that you are admitted.
