Just had a date change.
Applied ED in September. UR with a date of 10/18 as of this morning. Still UR but now the date is 12/13. What could this mean?

Also updated but still UR.02889 wrote:Same here. Previous UR date 11/21, and before that, 10/23. From last year's thread, it looks like the UR date updated in December for everyone getting deferred.sc-123 wrote:In case anyone's curious, my UR date just switched to today (12/13). Previous UR date was 11/2X. Applied early decision, above 75% LSAT, below 25% GPA. NYU, I'd appreciate an answer soon so I can get back to work instead of mashing the refresh button all day erryday. Thx.
Any EDers already deferred - were your statuses updated to the date you were deferred (or possibly the day before)?

Way to go about this in the least climactic way possible, NYU! Really looking forward to finding out I'm waitlisted in like April and then rejected or accepted in like July.

I find it hard to believe this is going to be all deferrals, considering they deferred some ED applicants days ago. Why wouldn't they just defer us all at the same time? Maybe they were debating between the last few spots for ED acceptance? Wishful thinking I suppose. Regardless, good luck guys

Any RDers update today without DLS?
UR 11/20, UR 12/13. Are we thinking waitlist or reject at this point? Watching people get DLS who went UR weeks after me is getting super depressing.

FWIW, I was deferred yesterday via email and my status checker still says UR 11/21. I think if you are going to hear about a deferral/WL/rejection, it won't be reflected in the status checker

For those of us in need of positive thinking (I am very much in this category), through December 7, applications are down almost 25% from the same time last year.cheerios16 wrote:I like your positive thinking.Greeno wrote:I find it hard to believe this is going to be all deferrals, considering they deferred some ED applicants days ago. I think this is possible. I'd be surprised if we were rejected rather than deferred, but regardless, I think at this point a DLS for EDers isn't guaranteed to be good news.francesfarmer wrote:Oh god now I think we're going to get rejected but then it would say DLS right???cheerios16 wrote:I like your positive thinking.Greeno wrote:I find it hard to believe this is going to be all deferrals, considering they deferred some ED applicants days ago. Someone should send this to NYU.sc-123 wrote:For those of us in need of positive thinking (I am very much in this category), through December 7, applications are down almost 25% from the same time last year.cheerios16 wrote:I like your positive thinking.Greeno wrote:I find it hard to believe this is going to be all deferrals, considering they deferred some ED applicants days ago. Re: NYU C/O 2016 Applicants Thread!!! (Woooooo!!!!!)
Maybe I'm just blindly optimistic but I also doubt we would get straight up rejected. I feel like we strung-along ED'ers have decent enough numbers that they'd want to at least waitlist us. Honestly from NYU's perspective, why reject someone (even a borderline candidate) now if they might need to fill a seat in August?02889 wrote: I think this is possible. This whole pocess doesn't make any sense to me. I'm a 4.0 GPA with a 173 LSAT and I have been UR without any movement since 10/16....ARGHHHHHH
